thats the struggle i have as well.. not a lot of trails around here and if they are near its technically not legal... the closest place with good trails to explore is Arkansas but thats about 5 hours away from me.. closer then most but also not close... i do prefer having a light weight dirtbike but the adventure bike just gets my interest for being able to just get on it and go to where i want to explore instead of using a trailer to take the bike and then tbh worrying nobody is gonna mess with my truck...

that series truck is beautiful, ive been trying off and on for a few years to get my local Rover shop to empty one of the ones he has parked behind the shop to me on the cheap because I know there is no engine or trans, and most of the wiring was removed to put another rover back on the road.

 

He left the key in there. When he left, he just bump started down a hill, and left the restaurant

 

that made my night the wiring on them is a mess, and can be so simple to fix though but takes time!

 

So slight change of plans.. turns out google maps says Hancock - Andes was 45 miles, but we did it in 137. Stayed in the forest all day, got rained on for an hour too, in addition to rocky hill climbs, mud, and just being uncomfortable. My friend with me is in his 50s, and doesn't want to keep on our track especially because VT class IV roads are harder than today. We will get some parts in, but already tuckered from doing Section 1.

Think we're going to book it to Mount Washington in NH, take in some views and food along the way. Then he wants to get lobster in Maine, and then take smaller highways on the way back while sticking near the coast. @uurx i told him we could take the ferry to LI, and maybe stop by your place?

this was announced idk when but it looks like they are doing a xsr900 gp which looks amazing and maaan id much rather have this then the t7 and keep my klx and have two different types of bikes

some are saying it will have a 1000cc engine which would be odd since its being called a xsr 900 but who knows its not released yet atm its just in the works but if it comes out and looks like the images people have seen id like one!

 

Buy the T7 now and then buy that as well when it comes out

I am good. Thought no damage, but just found missing 2 rivets, and fork shield bent. Got them back mostly, and good to go

take the New London / Orient point ferry

you will prob see some Submarines on the New London side at the General Dynamics boat yard

After disembarking in Orient Point, you are in a nice part of Long Island for scenic roads and good eats along the way


I highly highly highly recommend you ride up the mount washington auto road though...

Last summer we drove from Loon NH to Mount Washington on the Kankamagus highway, that is a fun road for you as well

 

Strap it to the back and cook it over a campfire tonight

 

Bikes are good. I bent a fork shield and lost 2 rivets on radiator fairing.. no leaks, temps are constant

But we just rode Margaretville - Albany, so i think we are ok.
