You can fuck up floors real easy with a floor sander. Super easy to get divets/ridges. Ive got old hardwood under the shitty lvp the previous owners put in. Plan is to rip out the lvp and replace with a laminate wood plank like pergo once Im done removing walls. Probably 2024-2025 sometime.

I dont think the original hardwood is in good enough shape to refinish. If Im going to drop $3000 to take a chance on them coming out bad, I figure I may aswell do a nice engineered plank/laminate for the same price.

I never thought I’d see the day. It runs.

1 wire. One freaking wire. I changed the entire wiring harness three times, the ignition module, the coil, the ECU did all the tests in the manual. But I never guessed it could be the one wire that was Cris-crossed on the igniter module that I never thought to look at.

Most important thing: get it taken care of before you (and your stuff) move in.

I'd hire someone. Like @Blue92 said, the risk of messing things up in an obvious and hard-to-fix way is high, especially if you've got a lot of surface to do.

Yeah the body lines look just like my 280z. They absolutely nailed it. It’s a stunning car. Too rich for my blood though

Man, I was driving the Cruiser thinking I own this bitch and don't have a payment and will never again and I saw that fucking thing. I didn't know it was out, have never seen it or knew anything about it and it melted me. The tail lights are perfect, its a little modern but so tasteful. Then the harsh realization of yep, that's how you have car payments you soft motherfucker set it. I told my son, if we had a garage I would go get one today and pay that payment. His response was lets build a new house with a garage!!!:rofl::rofl::rofl:

Yeah thats my concern exactly. I have literally nowhere to practice, and nobody to guide me, so chances of getting it right first try seem pretty slim.

Plan for the moment is to get a quote from a local guy, with the assumption that the whole floor is in the same shape as the part i've already pulled. If thats a reasonable price, I'll probably yank the carpet myself and then let them do the rest.

I need to figure out a decent price for my 35s. Hopefully someone bites at $1k for all 5.

I kinda disagree respectfully. Engineered vs oak on a new house, ehh same. On an old house it fucks the chi all up. Oak floors on their second sand are the best. Those floors look like they have never been sanded before and I would straight up leave the stains and tell them to sand it super light. Gives them charactor.

It's more like a for sure thing; just need to talk to JD about what die exactly I should get.

    They're like $320-450 each.
