The only advantage to replacing bumpers is for clearance when off-roading.

I wouldnt suggest pulling it off again once its on. It will mess up the coating for the mirror where the bsm cutout is. Ask me how i know lol

I ripped the roof panel out and sound deadened the entire roof of the vehicle with Butyl rubber and 315 mil closed cell foam. Also did the back wall.

Getting it back in right was a gargantuan PITA (Yeah I went a bit to thick). Not sure if it was worth it, but I keep telling myself that now it's "Done" and I can enjoy it for the next 300k miles.

If you're reading this. Don't do it. At least don't do the roof.

Yeah prob won’t go through the hassle of switching out the Bsm light unless there is really good reason. It’s already annoying enough to cut off and replace all the heatshrink on the heater wires mine don’t come off w/o doing that.

I did the entire truck interior and had no problems with the roof. Did Dynamat and Dynaliner foam. Helped a bit except where the sunroof is. Back and doors I noticed the most in noise reduction.

I broke the coat hanger clips, and I can't get my visor clip to fully clip in any more It's only loose,no matter how hard I press on it. I need to order new red and white clips to replace the ones I broke during the removal.

I defintely noticed a difference. Sound's great, but holy crap it was a pita, spent the entire day on it from sun up to sun down.

Still need to do the floor. Probably gonna do the floor lol.

Did you have any issues with the coat hanger clips, or the visor clip?

No problems with any clips on the roof but I've had the door panels off a few times and 1 or 2 always break. Bought extras for next time. Doors make a big difference especially if you do the inner and outer skin.

How tf did you get the coat hanger clip's off? From what I can tell is I just ripped them in half, and they won't go back on. 100% boned. Access cab so mine may be different than yours.

Doors are already done. Need to open them up again to replace the speakers though. New clips are gonna be here before that.

That’s awful! Sorry you’re going through this. I went through the same thing with my’17 SR5. Traded in on my current (‘21 TRD off-road). My comprehensive insurance (-the deductible) payed for it. Just felt it wasn’t a good idea to keep it since the engine was no longer factory sealed.
