i saw a post probably 6 months to a year ago that had a modification that allowed the owner of a 2nd gen tacoma to plug into the grille of his truck to use his jumper cables without popping the hood, i am looking into doing this modification.

i have searched, and come up with zip, as per this post.

any help will be greatly appreciated!

that reminds me of the Les Schwab trucks they have the same thing.

I believe you can get jumper cables that plug into the same port as a winch.

Check the golf cart stores and floor cleaner companies they Jude them for charging then get some bulk cable from the store and a set of jumper cables the ends are pricey though

It's a very useful thing to have. I put one on my truck when the batteries were relocated and the kill switch was installed.

The link to the Warn products above is what you want. Those plugs and wires will have the capacity needed to jump a truck and/or winch through. Last thing you want is wiring that's not up to the task.

1/0 wire ties the batteries together and to the switch, plug, and electrical system on my truck. Since copper itself is the expensive part, I coughed up the extra little bit and got the coating designed for welders. I figure if it'll hold up to slag falling on it, it'll hold up to my use.
