Going to overland so goddamn hard up at Acadia NP and a few other places this summer. Just ordered a RTT to make my already poor fuel mileage decrease even more. Need to help out those middle eastern princes who just put all those dollars down to merge LIV and PGA.

I love my new truck but miss my Tacoma
What kind of tent did you just order? I've seen a ton of ikampers come though my work lately (one for a neighbor of mine). It's like they were giving them away or something! I had 3 in just one truck yesterday.

    Thank you Craigslist!
Found a dude looking for a cap last night… took the cap and cleared a bunch of crap I wouldn’t have even known to give away or sell.

Wife was awesome…she hated the cap and spoke her mind, not sure if she wanted a better deal or what. He ignored her so I did too.:rofl: My wife would have killed me.

terrible pic but there he goes just in case you spot him.

Has anyone local had any real world experience with the new Falken Wildpeak R/T tires?

No, but they weigh a ton for what they are as a consideration

Yeah, about 7 lbs heavier than the AT3W for the 255/80R17.
So overall lookin at 35 lbs for 5 tires.

Second hand anecdotally, the weight isn't much of a concern. I'm looking at stock size echo loads. From what I've read, the mpg hit is negligible. And that makes sense, the biggest effect for mpg will be your tire size. Whether you want to look at it as a hoop or cylinder, it's based on the square of the radius, linear mass.

But lifting them to rotate and maintain you'll feel it.

Speaking of which if anyone has sport take offs let me know. Might bump up to 17s for tire options :|

Yea the Rotational force is the biggest killer. Confirmed it when my 35s were 1lb heavier a tire and sucked up way more power than my 33s did

Yeah that would put it on par with my 315/75 Patagonia's, just for a 33. Unsprung weight adds up real quick

I do have two sets of 5 OEM rims if you want. One has OEM rubber that’s been used a bit, the other is the one with Cooper Pros.
Compared to the Cooper Pros at 255/75R17 at 51 lbs each, won’t be a big difference.

I was just saying the taller you go is more of a factor than weight will ever be

Well, hopefully the jump from 255/75R17 to 255/80R17 doesn’t kill my gas mileage from 12 to 10…
