Yea maybe. If I could go back now knowing what I know, I wouldn’t do the deal again, but I’m pretty happy with my truck now.

I'd need to figure out how to close up the air ducts and all that for the heater, and whatever else is required.

It wouldn't be hard to do so...it'd be hard to do so while keeping it looking good.

For instance, how should I "finish" the factory carpet at the rear where it's cut?

And that'd be a big ass project to TIG weld the large piece of sheet metal that'll cover that cab.

Also adding a rear window without it being super cheesy pexiglass and cheap rubber surround.

Maybe incorporate the 1G Tacoma rear slider?

For the window there are some threads where people have cut it to match up with a 1G window or maybe even an old pickup/Hilux piece and gasket. The carpet would be easy, an auto upholsterer will finish the edges for you, not expensive and looks great. I had that done on my custom 100 carpeting I cut from two OEM floor kits, looked factory. I think overall it'd be a project to get real anal about planning out before making a first move. The Aussies probably have more vids etc on YT, be worth some research and inspiration. Maybe even email MULE to see what they did for the rear? Never know.

I'm trying to find a picture of the LX parked next to an 80. On the few times, since 80s tan take a taller lift and larger tires, the 80 looks bigger. Most 80s around here are built like the ones in this picture. I think 80s can handle a taller lift than a 100.
