    We you got the determination.
    You’re 50% there already.

If you need any things else, don’t hesitate to ask. At least your will to go out and try. And I’m always willing to help the guy that wants to try.

I really appreciate it. I'm going to switch the gas and fun some fuel system cleaner through it and see how it goes from there. Then fix the knock sensor wiring, and fix my electric fan so I don't ever heat. But I'll get there

I don't know about wizzard but I'm at least gona give it my best effort.

I'd much rather be solving electrical problems right now than fixing this tire though lol.

I’d rather fix that tire than fight those ford manifolds:rofl:
I still say you need to let the new guy tackle that one for you……..:anonymous:

    Ok
So I got it running but my battery light stays on constantly? I'm hooking electric fan back to switch so I can idle it for awhile to run new fuel and some cleaner through it, but my voltage is staying around 14-16 so idk why my light would be on

Could be an internal problem with the alternator, faulty wiring, or a bad fuse.
Unplug the alternator and turn the key on, the battery light should not illuminate. If it does then the Warning Light wire is shorted to ground somewhere, if it doesn't then follow the charging system circuit testing as outlined in the post below.

I think it was for the pcm code. I cleared the codes and it hasn't come back and the light hasn't come on. I'm reading solid 14.24 v so far

Question- the e8 plug on the pcm, pin 1+2 are those power coming out of the ECM? With piggy back ecm I don't get power to those pins but with regular pcm I do

No those come from the EFI Relay, the PCM controls the EFI Relay.

So if my logic is correct. That means the piggy back ECM isn't sending signal to the efi relay to bring it online to send it back to the pcm?

I have a really good feeling that the stock pcm can't handle the adjusted trim and timing of the rebuilt motor which is why it's struggling so much to run. The pb ECM has a tune on it for the specific application I'm running. With having different cam gears, forced induction, high pressure fuel system, different injectors, maybe it's too much for the regular ECM to do on stock tuning?

I'm just sitting here letting it idle with fuel system cleaner and new gas to try and clean out the fuel system a bit so I'm pondering stuff

It's not throwing any codes for misfire but it sure sounds like it has a big block style Engine wit lh some huge cams in it idling

It would seem that way if you don't get power there with it plugged in. The engine isn't gona run correctly without that relay turned on either, it feeds alot of sensors.

IDK that may be a question for @JustDSM he deals with tuning all the time,I'm not sure if he's messed with any of the piggyback systems or not but I'm sure he could tell you if it's possible to tune the stock PCM to run on the modified setup or not.

So if that's the case. If it was a regular pcm. I would assume the pcm is bad. Switch it for another pcm, truck runs, switch it back, truck doesn't, the only variable would be the pcm. So I'm assuming this is the same basic principle. I may ask a guy that's local and does tuning on Tacoma's if I can just have the stock ECM tuned to fit my specs. I have a email to gadget also just to ask his take on my particular situation.
Running new gas and system cleaner has helped drastically. It feels much better. But I'm getting codes for bank too lean which I think goes back to the tuning issues

Also does tagging people in these threads notify them or should I message the gentleman you suggested directly? I feel that's kind of rude but idk

They get a notification when they are tagged, he usually replies but it may take a day or so as he's always pretty busy.
I have one of his tunes on my truck but it's basically stock.

Cool! Ya I'm not very familiar with programming and wiring as you can tell. Man oh man I miss the days of initial efi when you only had to worry about three things to make sure something ran. Fuel, air and spark. Ahhhh the good ol days

@Dm93 if you do however get the chance could you by any chance tell me which wires I need to pin to see what's wrong with my gas gauge? I think it may be the sending unit but I know I'd have to check to see if power is making it to it and then signal is coming back id presume?
