Seen a lot of bikes (Bimmers) over the weekend. Come to find out, there was the 50th annual BMW motorcycle Rally this past Thursday thru Saturday here, up above town. No pix tho. Seen them all while driving.

If i bolted it, im sure it would be fine. But the hood pin mechanism blew apart. Im leaving the box in Maine as a parting gift

 

my sister just got into riding, and all I can say is it’s sucks when your siblings wont fucking listen to a word you say.

some guy she dated drove a Harley that she would ride on 2 up. Fast forward…they stop dating then she wanted one of her own.

would she listen to me about what to get, how to go about it, and that I would teach her every step of the way.

HELL NO!!! Her biker buddy got her lined up with a 1200cc Yamaha Vstar that is a pig and might be the worst thing she could have started with. I can ride the shit out of anything, and I can say this is a death wish waiting to happen.

she already rashes the shit out of herself in a parking lot with said biker buddy, and the whole thing pisses me off to no end.

Sorry had to vent to my homies. Fuck me!

My sister shockingly tried a 250 Ninja but jumped right onto a 600 a month later after me pleading with her not to (she was not ready for it, no prior riding experience dirt or otherwise and was sketch at best) and wouldnt put friggin gear on. Used to ride in a bikini top, no gloves, sandals, but had a helmet at least.
Within a couple of months she ate shit taking a left turn that had a bump from a culvert. Target fixated on the ditch and in she went. Broken arm and ride in the booboo bus. Some people need to learn for themselves how hard the ground is and that the pavement is a giant belt sander.

I was in Baltimore, MD yesterday riding, photographing murals, and I ride in full gear. Had one guy tell me I was nuts for wearing my jacket because it was 93 degrees in the city. Told him I'd rather sweat than bleed. He actually shook his head and walked away like I was the idiot. Some people you just can't reach.

 

Someone convince me not to buy this Speed Triple. I don't have anymore room in my garage but I am having a hard time saying no. I keep going back to the ad hoping it will say the seller has removed the listing.

I gotta quit reading this post now I’m missing my bikes again, sucks when you sell one that you really wish u would have kept ...

 

This is a neat design. I'm currently hunting for a ramp which I intend to use once to load/unload my bro in law's ducati in my '05 RC. Are the $100 options decent? I remember I had some brackets long ago which worked with a 2x6 and that's tempting as well but I really do not want to drop this bike.

 

My guess is it will be the exact same XSR900 engine, with some more racing oriented suspension, lower handlebars and a racer front cowl, rear seat cowl, and side/belly fairings. Looks pretty damn good though...
