The 3.0L camrys were great engines. But the truck 3.0's were junk. Like mentioned hg & head issues.

Umm not even 500 miles and only seen rain twice and already some rust starting on the welds? Are these frames really that bad?

Tons of threads on here discussing this in painstaking detail.

Many treat with woolwax or fluid film or similar. Your frame probably came like that from the factory. It’s treated metal.

If you plan on driving in salt and snow and rain here in the Northeast, the consensus is typically “treat it”

Geez. I got mine professionally coated/sealed and it came with a 10 year warranty. Did it last year, because I noticed a little rust already forming and have heard that these frames are notorious for that.

It’s the best money I’ve spent on the truck in terms of longevity.

Anyone have local shop recommendations for fluidfilm/woolwax/cosmoline/etc? I haven't been doing it cause the truck looked fantastic when I bought it. However, It's starting to show rust, as expected.

That is really a full service shop, I could spend a lot more money than I have to spend there

Best recommendation is to move to a warmer/less humid climate :D
