    Dude, no matter how much I try I always get like small dust pieces, or even tiny fibers from my cloth (from rubbing it down with acetone) stuck on there only to see it sticking up after I primer or paint :rofl:

    Glad I'm not the only one cause I've noticed it in corners and cuts made by others in this thread.

    I have never been that fussy the only cleaning might be the blending of welds with a flap disc .

    I never ever cleaned with acetone or any chemical before or after welding.

    acid to try and clean weather exposed aluminum but dirt still cooked out while welding.

    I have the acetone to clean oils and whatnot that could affect the primer I spray; just don't want the paint flaking off long-term.

    That and the acetone is used for cleaning off the fluid that splashes up from the plasma table, or to clean off oils on anything for TIG welding.

    Maybe I'm just overdoing things. Just how I've always been.

    Final test fit complete. Just need to take everything off, and paint it.

    Should be dry by Tuesday

    20230611_112239.jpg

    Also, another order for a stiffener

    20230611_121958.jpg

    Glad I cut extras, I can just bend and weld as needed instead of getting back on the table

    @Shmellmopwho
    @GHOST SHIP

    You guys got pics of your bender setups?

    Trying to get an idea of real-estate in my garage, and how I'd set it up.

    I'd be going hydraulic, but by piecing it together with an HF jack and whatnot.

    So I emailed them when I posted here. Figured it'd be awhile until I hear back since they're closed weekends.

    Called an hour earlier, no answer.

    Called now again, no answer.

    I'll call again in an hour but unless they're closed on National Corn on the Cob day, they should be open?

    Been on hold awhile, third phone call.

    No answer yet each time I was "first in line" :jerkoff:

    Thinking there might be some Tennessee holiday I'm unaware of.

    Stuff and things that make it better.
    I mounted mine on an old diesel engine stand I had, a smaller one would've been better and lighter but free is free.
