I know nothing about batteries, how long can you store them for? My 2019 is still on the original battery and I am waiting for it to die. But I don't want to be scrambling to figure out which agm I want when it does die.

I take care of them. I just removed that one the other day from a car I sold. I’ll move it inside in my bike room. They’ll
Last a looooong time but I charge them etc.

I highly recommend the X2’s. Never an issue. I’m running an odyssey now so far so good but that was so I could run the Rago battery box.

Your alternator will not fully and properly charged those AGM batteries so if you go ahead and do this yourself once a month, you know put it on the battery charger let it sit overnight you’ll be fine there’s people that never even do that and the batteries still last very very long

lots of videos on this check them out. I tuned my taco and up’s the alternators output to my agm

How often do you charge the one you are storing?

Lead acid technology is the ONLY battery that does not self discharge significantly. That is why lead acid is used for emergency exit illumination etc.

Your particular battery may be at fault, but the Lead acid Technology is time proven.

Had the same issue on my ‘17 and the little bastards ate through the knock sensor harness. It was 2k and my comprehensive insurance covered it minus the deductible.
