Hmm, maybe I should see if I can send you dims and weld up my own. Cx racing wants $500 for a set of mounts but that seems too pricey. Can you work with SW files?

I do have Solidworks, but honestly I'd probably fuck that up if I brought it over to Fusion and tried to generate g code from it.

If you can get a DXF file that'll be perfect.

I make those mounts at $40/per in 1/4".

You don't make money as a mechanic of mayhem. You make money as metal of mayhem or some shit like that. Running commercial shit. Just talked to a cnc guy and he was like idk wtf I do these bullshit 1 off jobs. I make 10x more money making 1000 stupid items for a company and I do these 1 offs of like 50 and I lose money and time.

    mechanic=cheap. at least to me.

Yeah, I'll make quick money off stuff I can quickly zip off on the table like these shock tabs.

    I'll make about 20-30 per month -

    20230224_181032.jpg

It ain't a lot either, but it's super quick cause I've already made (and own) the file and g-code. Just turn on my equipment, and run the file and boom...parts!

But since this is all just extra money, and not something I rely on, I prefer to be "that guy" that does one-off parts. People get comfortable with me, and will often come to me first for something else in the future.

These other dudes (or shops) won't bother unless you're ordering something in bulk and will charge a separate cost just for messing with said file.

Whatever makes you feel comfortable man. Simple things like that are easy for you so I guess count doesn't matter. I was talking more complicated things that take lots of setup. idk why im even telling you this, you know what works or doesn't.

I can export dxf easy peasy. I'll keep that in mind, saving a bit there plus ensuring I get the driveline straight would be a no brainier. It was a big concern with the cx racing mounts if it would put my where I need to be as I don't plan to modify the trans mount/crossmember. When I get there we will be in touch. Which means a couple months lol

    Time is money.

The faster you are at drawing, the more money you can keep in your pocket.

I'll spend an average 3-5 minutes drawing up a part to cut.

As long as the dimensions I'm given are accurate, the part will be accurate.

Here's the last thing I drew and cut for a vehicle. Took me as long to draw as it did to cut -

Cause I'd need a cute face and butt or boobs, and/or a fake ass youtube personality.

Nonsense, just look at Casey Neistat, one of the most popular YouTubers of all time and he looks like he got high as giraffe pussy on blow and meth and decided to get in a boxing match with an oncoming train.

One of the shows Sofia likes to watch on HBO is a YouTube channel they stream, Vlad and Niki. Couple of little Russian toddlers basically just playing games with their mom. I looked up their net worth and they've made 30 million via their YouTube channel. Crazy

Is it worth driving 3 hours each way for a cheap set of blue label krawlers? Hmmm

I'm not even sure I could physically drive that far ATM lol
