A.) Turbo 4 cylinders are reliable and cheap to fix.
B.) Drum brakes are “better for off roading”.
C.) An 8 foot space alien landed in some guys backyard in Las Vegas
    D.) All of the above
    E.) None of the above

I mentioned the turbo issue so you can't use that , hybrid issue is vague and etc basically means you have e nothing else . Typical Turd response

The EPA has the regular Turbo Tundra at 19 MPG Average and the Hybrid Tundra at 20 MPG Average.

4cyl turbos are generally very easy to work on, but this is also a forum full of people that can’t put their brake pads on correctly.

Shhh. The Toyota fans don’t want to here that. Also the real world mpgs seem worse. Fuelly shows an average of 17mpg

So a full size truck with twin turbo v6 that makes 583 tq and weighs in at 5800 pounds is getting the same mpg as my Tacoma. That doesn’t sound bad at all.

Wouldn't the battery packs on the hybrid be a fair bit more to replace then the turbskies? I may have asked this already as well but don't remember the answer.

Wouldn't all these different companies cost a hell of a lot more than if they just stuck with 1?

Hybrids will be built in Guanajuato. Will that plant build hybrids exclusively? Will they also build pure gas trucks, or will that be exclusive to Baja? Are no hybrids being built in Baja?

Some lucky owners may get the joy of replacing the turbos and the hybrid batteries. That sounds fun.

I guess it depends on how old some people are but I think at sometime most of us will be driving hybrids of some sort

Perhaps Toyota has become the new VW, trade in before the warranty is up…

Not sure why people think Toyotas are the best at reliability, the repair shop is always full when I take mine in for service. If they never needed anything, you think it would be a ghost town. Hell, my other truck is in there right now getting a new engine. Not a cheap fix either. $12K when everything is said and done. And that is for a basic engine, can’t imagine what the new fangled stuff would cost.

Toyota sells the most cars out of all Mfg's on the planet. No one said they'd never have issues. A full shop is just because of the sheer numbers of Toyotas around. Heavy amount near me at least.

Oh just find it funny….”turbos and batteries will be fine!”

Their overseas diesels used to have a 500K service life, until they had to put a stricter emissions system on it, now it is 250K. Which is still really good. Turbos on a diesel is beneficial, not so much on a gasser.

Heck, don’t even want to own my 3G out of warranty, because I know the repair costs will be far greater than my 1st Gen.

It’s funny how other full size trucks get similar numbers without the need of two turbos and an electric motor.

Yup. Who will want to be stuck paying that big turbo and battery bill. It’s going to kill trade in values too.
The dealerships here have bigger service areas than sales areas. The dealers claim they make more money on service than sales.
