Of course it's a tourist trap, it's like a weird Vegas strip in the middle of Tennessee which is exactly why my ass will be there lol. Plus, we didn't do a lot of that stuff last time and I'm that old person who wants to go-to the aquarium and the museums and stuff, and Rob wants me to destroy me at go karts. It's just all the in one place so why not?

I'll let you know what days we'll be in that area once I know otherwise we'll be in the Maryville area and out on the river

Ya. I avoid that area as much as I can.

Maryville area is about the same distance. If you want to meet up somewhere in that area. They have a drive in movie theater out that way as well.

How much time has to pass before grave robbing becomes archaeology?

Gotta have letters behind your name for archaeology. Everything else is “see what I found”. Don’t ask me how I know.

I think my niece and nephew may have season passes to Dollywood but I'm not sure where else. We figured we'd check off the super touristy stuff that we were interested in during this trip since our next ones will probably involve college visits and we can plan for going to other parts.

I know this is a reach, but do you know if there were any good spots for dim sum or Thai?

I would be far too distracted by looking around at people at a drive in. I don't know how folks can legitimately pay attention to a film that way.

It’s dark for most of the movie(s) sometimes they have 2 or 3 in one night. You sit at your vehicle.

The last drive-in movie I saw was Blazing Saddles. I went with my brother and his date and sat between them in my dad’s ‘65 Chevy pickup. She was pissed and broke up with him. I think that was his intention

The real meal deal involves getting there early so you can find a speaker that works. :)

Yes, I understand functionally how a drive in works, silly.

I and saying that I am a distracted squirrel and I will stare at you and your car getting your moves on instead of the movie....

There’s usually a swing set or play structure for those who feel distracted conveniently located below the main screen.

    Seriously?

That sounds so unsafe. I'm not sharing a swing set with a bunch of creepy kids. Stranger danger.

I wouldn’t want to be an archaeologist. Their careers lie in ruins
