Do you realize that this discussion or bitching as you call was about the new Lexus SUV’s engine? A couple of you extreme fan boys got all emotional and turned it into this incessant bickering.

Well they moved to the 8spd instead of the 6. And kept the manwell to keep people happy. So I would think it will be all good

Speculation is that it will be the Lexus GX 550 but with Toyota Land Cruiser badges.

Nope, the Lexus is always the pink panty version of the Land Cruiser.

I've seen that, it's just a render. I have seen reports it will have a shorter wheelbase than the GX. A short wheelbase LC would sell like crazy.

Think the Ford Godzilla 7.3 is 475@4000 rpm, while not quite as good as the Tundra, it can max tow 19,500 lbs.

What is the Tundra, 12,000? Why so much torque, if tow capacities are low?

The power pissing matches are funny with the full-sizes. Those golf clubs must be awfully heavy to lug around. If you look at medium duty trucks they detune the engines a smidge in a much heavier vehicle with far greater capacities.

I had a 450 I drove at work with the 1st year 7.3 in it. I liked it, diesel might have been better. I can't recall if Ford bumps the power up on the 6/750 gasers or not.

You know these manufacturers don't take EV too seriously right now. Not with these outrageous range claims.

Hopefully the 4Runner will occupy the space below the Land Cruiser and Lexus, with a lower MSRP.

    Things are shaping up.
