He probably wouldn't fit in the double cab either. It not like it's a stretch limousine. Lol! If you're going to move people use a Suburban or Expedition. You don't see the taxi cab industry using double cab trucks.

My wife insisted that I keep my back seat for that very reason.
If I ever have to use them, I feel sorry for whoever sits back there, because they'll be next to my subwoofer.

Anyone know how hard it is to install bed lights on a pre 2020 access cab? I'm not sure, but I don't think my 2019 is pre-wired like the 2020's and beyond..

I occasionally take a few passengers in the back . Works fine . Obviously not super comfy but it works . I usually get the front passenger to move the seat up a little to make room for the rear .

Can’t fit an elk or moose in a short bed, and I have very few friends. Choice seems obvious.

Conveniently, my wife has a DCSB for when we visit the kids.

Pretty easy if you don’t mind modifying the high mount brake light like I did on my 17.

I was curious about that too. Is that an after market third tail light with bedlights? Is there pre-existing wiring for that? I really don't want to have to do any sort of hardcore wiring. Thanks!

I made this myself, bought a clear lens and some led boards, wired it up to the dome light.

Losing the AC doors in the 4th gen will be a real PIA if you use that space for heavy tool boxes. I need the six foot long bed to carry 8 foot stuff like oars and lumber without it sticking out the back of my cap. I don't need the truck to be longer. I remember the dealer saying that I could just stick stuff through the sliding rear window. Not a winter option in snow and ice country.

It really doesn’t take much to do this, didn’t even have to drop the headliner. Hardest part is cutting the base of the brake light to fit the led panels and I did that with my Dremel tool. Wired up the red led boards to the brake light wires and ran another wire to the dome light. Bought the led panels off eBay and the clear lens from Klearz

I my business I need a six foot bed, but on construction sites I don’t need an extra 14” of truck.

An AccessCab is perfect for me. YMMV.

My 2016 wasn't wired for the OEM ones. I make do with solar ones on my divider. One of these days I'll get Matt Geko's under rail lights and install them.

Been driving AC Tacos since the 90s. Main reasons for me are 6’ bed and easy to park in the city.

When I was in the market last Winter, I really wanted an Access Cab Long bed. Alas they were essentially unavailable new from any dealer within 200 miles. LBs were scarce as well. I finally found a nice pre-owned '23 DCLB at a Lexus dealership and did the deal. It's ok, but an AC would have pleased me much. The Toyota allocation system is crap for consumers.
