The head engineer mentioned multiple times on video that the focus was on driveability with this 4th gen with the feedback they had on the 3rd gen.

Even if it is quick to upshift, the huge increase of low end torque will for sure make up for it.

    Yeh a bigger 4runner wouldn't be necessary.

I heard him say that too, he even said the turbo will still be spinning hard after you let off the throttle just in case you need to get back on throttle and will have immediate response.

Yeh the VGT turbo is very quick to respond and I'm sure the ECU will keep the turbo efficient while not over taxing it like a traditional turbo.

Gassers get a very slight detune, looses 7 whole ft/lbs. The diesel 6\750 tops out at 750 ft/lbs, while the pickups have the high output 1200 ft/lbs available. Like why? Lotsa chest thumping going in the pick ‘em up truck wars.

And yeah…bunches and bunches of promises from the EV manufacturers. That Tesla truck should be here any day now….

Technically no. I ignore certain people that drone on with gibberish.

Clicking the ignore button on him made life better. Water tastes better, food is yummier. Do it, you'll thank me later. :p

He’s been on ignore for months. I click the “show ignored content” link every so often. It’s always a mistake.

I noticed that a lot of folks talk about the torque increase from the iForce Max, but at the end of the day its a 4-banger mid-size truck. I can't get behind it no matter the nick knacks from the factory.

I think some of the things about the 4G is pretty cool like the electronic sway bar disconnect and seats to name a couple.

I didn't find the gear ratio online for the 4th Gen. Anyone know it?
