Godzilla began eons ago. IIRC, He was the first water living, fire breathing/laser shooting giant lizard. You can see TV shows with him in them....

Life is a risk....... Drinking eating, playing,,,,all risks. We could have stayed in the caves and risked the hungry animals and natural catastrophes then as well.

We can all move out of California and the Carolinas and New Orleans and away from rivers and fault zones, never eat at Mc donalds. grow our own food and still not mitigate the risk of natural catastrophe much. the idea is not to BAIT it....

Don't build your home over dry brush on stilts, Don't build a home NOT on stilts near a river, Don;t build a Nuk plant that cannot stand a 9 earthquake.

There is nothing wrong with nuk power. The benefits outweigh the risks, fossil fuels the same. We all want fun "stuff" that requires energy, toys, bikes, boats, cars, stereos, big tires, fast cars (but good MPG)...LOL We want cheap energy, safe plastics, We want homes we cannot afford and sign unread ripoff contracts for them, We want miracle drugs with no side effects, We want planes that never crash, We want jobs for life we cannot be fired from We want want want..

Then when something goes wrong people whine about nuks, oil, banks, business, police, doctors, pharmaceuticals the cost of this and that . If people managed their own lives, finances, life choices the could mitigate their risks and immunize themselves from a lot of issues.

The Japanese have been through this before, Im sending my donations to the Red Cross. Unfortunately in times like these ripoff artists come out of the cracks to prey upon our need to help.

    This^^

If anyone is planning on donating, remember the scams, find a real registered charity. Local cops made a radio caution about that this morning.

do what i did, 2 things:
    1) i gave a $5 bill to my tacoma. just put it in the cubby. it'll get back to the japanese somehow (me->truck->dealership->american plant->mexican plant->somewhere->JAPAN)
    2) i found a japanese guy on campus and gave him $5. i told him to find a way to get it back to japan.....i'm pretty sure he was japanese, anyway. he spoke another language. sounded 'japanesey', could've been korean, chinese, or mexican. but i think he understood anyway.....i believe in my heart that that $5 will make it back to japan

The 5 bucks you gave to the guy may make it back, but the 5 bucks you gave to the Tacoma.....well...only about 5 cents is gonna make it back. If that....
