Center consol OEM switch / Heater addon question

    I've tried finding information on this forum and online but still need help. I've added heated seat pads and want to rearrange existing factory items in the lower center consol switch area and add 2 new heater switches to the outer left/right spots. Do I need to totally remove the switch assembly piece (6 spots plus 12VDC lighter socket)? Can I do this an easier way?

    That "piece" is an integral part of center dash. Seems like a separate piece but only if you Dremel it out.
