Want to run 33x12.5x17-Lift suggestions

    Hey guys, Been wanting to put a lift on my 08 dbl cab, wanna run a 2.5-3" lift. I do some offroading nothing extreme though, want to keep a smoother ride, and a buddy just gave me some new mickey thompson's 33x12.5x17, can I run these with a 2.5-3" lift, and what is everyones suggestion on the lift for what I need? Thanks I'm a Noob lol

    That's a true 33" tire. You will need 3" or more to not rub to seriously. You will also need wheels with the correct backspacing or wheel spacers with factory wheels. Maybe look into a spindle lift if you are a 4x2.

    You'll need to trim a lot of fender well plastic and chop your cab mount, but several members on here have fit that size on a 3" lift.

    21' TRD OffRoad 2" 887 OME on Bilstein 5100's. 285/70R17 General Grabbers G3 17x8.5" Icon TRD wheels (Gun metal gray) 4.75" BS
    Get the basic PRocomp or Fabtech 6" lift kits. They will keep your stock ride.

    Anything else will make your truck ride stiffer.

    Also for those size tires unless you want to trim most of your fenders and cut your cab mounts? A 3" lift won't work.

    Willing to spend somewhere between 500-800, don't want to do any major cutting, solus what is the RCD lift is that what you are running? Do you run 33's? Toku is the procomp basic adjustible? I do not want 6", want to stay arnd 3-4" lift, what if I ran 33x12.5x16's, 3" work?

    Seeing the third gen section forced me to get a Ford...
    a 33x12.5 is the same whether on 16 or 17" rim. only difference is the hole the rim goes into.

    3" lift w/ flare trimming, body mount chop, and 4.5" BS wheels or spacers, like the others said.

    the RCD 4.5" lift is a drop bracket lift like the 6", just smaller.

    the pro comp/fabtech basics are not adjustable. I'm running a 35x12.5 on a 3" lift, you just have to man up and do some cutting. if you have a 2WD, you can get a 4" spindle lift. that would be the way to go if you can.

    6" lifts are gonna break your 500-800 dollar budget. Think more like 2k

    OME 3" lift with 885 coils. OME Shocks with TSB 1.5 AAL. 285/75/16 KM2s. XD Hoss 16" wheels. DDM Tuning 6000K HIDs, H10 6000K Fogs. BHLM. Debaged. 20% tint on front windows.
    If you got a PreRunner, you could get lift spindles. If you got a 4x4, x2 on Solus694 suggestion on going with the RCD 4.5

    I lost track thousands of dollars ago.
    Come on just a little trimming to fit those tires I have 33x12.5's on my 1st Gen and I just had to trim a little. and if you think trimming for the 3" is to much try cutting off the cross member for the 6" or 4.5" lift. With miner modifications those tires will fit on a 3" no problem.

    A little off topic but what backspacing here your wheels? I know the offset was ridiculous but I've been thinking of getting some 15s in the fall

    15x10" 3.76" BS and a -44mm Off Set if they made 9" rims in these that's what I would of got.
