What I said was, like how Ford does the rear seat storage in their Super and Crew Cab over Toyota. Most likely will buy a Super Cab. Don’t like Tacoma DCSB, the DCLB could work, however at that price point just buy 1/2 Ton, so that is a Tundra DC6.5’ bed. That rear seat storage won’t work for me. I stick totes and gear bags back there. The flat floor is better in the Fords. And the Super Duty is for when I retire in a few years to pull a travel trailer. What is there to get lost on???

I would expect it will be something similar to this, on the bottom.

    :lalala:

The new FA24DIT is way better (which I envy), but the FA20DIT has given me 86k reliable miles thus far. I do always change the oil earlier than the recommended 6k miles though.

There are more trims and more differences between trims in this Tacoma than there ever have been. So unless you consider the 2.4T to be new and flashy, there should be something for everyone:

I hope they put bigger rear brake pads on the Tacoma than the 4Runner. I just finished changing the pads for the third time in 90K miles. People will be wishing they had the no maintenance rear drum brakes again. :D

Mine wasn’t oil related, or tune related. I tried stocked, cobb ots, and an MAPerformance tune. It knocked the least with the MAP tune, but still left me uneasy that I could feel the knock in the accelerator in addition to hearing it (and the logs).

New WRX is heinous looking. I hate it.

    Agreed. What were they thinking. I had a 2006 WRX/Saab 92X aero.

I haven't ever had knock, my factory tune will pull timing hard in hot weather when heat soaked to avoid knocking though. They adjusted the factory tune at some point before my 2019 which is probably why the 2015s were the fastest per Car and Driver

I like the new ones a good deal in person with the exception of that awful rear bumper, no clue what they were thinking there. The new FA24's internals make mine look like a joke. I'd maybe consider a new one, but the 4th gen Tacoma would more than likely cost me less in gas and be a better daily

What's with the Bridgstone Potenzas? I thought Dueler was Bridgestone's line of truck tires. 245/45/17s at that.

We wanted more power AND more efficiency. They delivered. All the words the last couple pages are just that. Words. Speculation and assumptions. I want the new sr5 long box so i can mod it.

People dump on Drums, but it probably is the one part on my truck I never worry about. They just work. And the rear brakes on a pickup aren't doing a whole lot. When towing I sometimes wish for a bit more stopping power, but really it just keeps the driver on their toes...

Yeah my 2015 was an absolute rocket, especially with the tune. My buddy jumped in and immediately found out he couldn’t drive a tight clutch with that much power haha.

Rear bumper is a nightmare. Front end looks good, just make it a hatch again.

I’ve never minded them, done my rear shoes once, on my third set of front rotors…

I think it is just a tire "appearance skin" in that 3D model rendering. They probably set the tire dimensions in the assembly model but didn't worry about what the sidewall said.

I changed the rear shoes around 110K and there was still quite a bit of pad left. I doubt I’ll ever change them again.

I recently changed front brake pads on my 2016 4Runner for the first time at 108K miles - rear pads are still factory original

It's a render. They all say the same thing and same size for all the pictures.
