ive done several of these with the fancy upgrade trigger jobs for people. so shot them some to make sure it was working. never found the sites to be all that great. i always just shoot to the gun, especially when its not "my gun".

What Triggers are you using? Did you change the Sites also? If you did what Sites did you use?

a set of brothers both used these: https://www.snipercountry.com/taurus-g2c-trigger-upgrade/ wasnt real difficult to do. huge improvement over factory. their stuff is top notch.

another guy wanted this: https://www.keeptinkering.com/shop this is MUCH cheaper. more of a budget go. you can buy individual parts & customize. the guy picked a trigger/spring & he also did the striker spring.

feel wise? both of these are such an improvement over the factory that its ridic. the Sniper Country is obviously higher quality & has a slicker feel.

Apex used to have a kit for these as well, but not sure they still sell it.

its all about how much you wanna spend on a gun & then how much you wanna dump into it. Kinda like owning a Tacoma! :)

real easy to have more in one than you paid for it.

How long have you been shooting? Low and left is usually because you may be anticipating the recoil. Next time you go to the range, have someone load the pistol randomly with a mix of live rounds and dummy rounds. Have them observe for a flinch when you pull the trigger on the dummy rounds.

I wasn't the only one that shot the pistol and had the same issue with it. And we both have been shooting for over 30 years each.

dont want to down anyones choice of weapon, so dont take this that way.

the G2 series has quite a bit of give in the frame. If you are used to "manning up" & grip it like you mean it... it can cause all kinds of issues with these. the frame will literally squish in & bind the trigger bar. it can also make you pull to one side when you shoot it, just because it flexes in your hand.

STILL: these are a nice low price PDW & you dont have to sweat a huge monetary loss if it had to go swim with the fishes. :-0

As someone who has been waiting for the Holo 507k x2 to go on sale, please enlighten me as to what that bad experience was.

Was it something that could happen to anyone, or a major issue that affects many of their products?

I had one of the large holographics. No matter what I did, which batteries I used. Whether I was in the sunlight or not, it would not stop flashing the reticle. Then when i went to sight it in, no matter how good the rail it was on and how exact the torque specs, the reticle would jump in adjustment after 1-3 shots.

emailed holosun and they sent me another one and let me send the defective one back. The new one came and did the same flashing so i didnt even mount it on anything. I sold it second hand to someone else on IG and they said that it was stuck in some programming mode and that they were able to figure it out eventually. I havent heard from them sense. That was 3 years ago.

sounds like you got maybe 2 bad ones in a row which seems unlikely, I’ve had nothing bad to say about them other than their Chinese battery life suck. I’ll be putting a trijicon on my EDC.

    I have:
    3x 507K Green (handguns)
2x 407K Green (handgun and shotgun)
    4x 508T X2 Green (handguns)
    2x 507 X2 Green (shotguns)
    1x EPS Green (handgun)
    3x 512 Red (rifles)

All have worked flawlessly. Despite a 3-5 year battery life, I change all batteries on my birthday annually. I have never had any issue with them holding zero. The enclosed sights (EPS and 512) have not had an issue with fogging or water intrusion. If I had one bitch, the finish on the optics is not very tough. It is just anodizing. All but the 508Ts can be touched up with an aluminum blackening pen.

I'm considering it for what I plan to be my EDC. That's why I'm not going with one of the ~$100 RDOs.

I know BOCO (Buy once, cry once), but it's hard to spend RMR money.

i will be putting a 2.5 MOA Trijicon SRO on my G34, and a 2.5 MOA Delta Point pro on my sig M17.

I’m undecided what to put on the G47, but I still have to buy that gun yet. Held one the other day, definitely buying one. I just want to get a Ruger Super Wrangler first.

Leupold Delta Points were just on sale - $100 off. That puts pricing similar to Holosuns.

I should have posted the sale last week - sorry. :(

I think for me that’s why it’s important to have the optic cowitnessed with the iron sites. I don’t want to rely on anyone from China to protect my life if push comes to above.

@6 gearT444E - I see your tag line of "Herculiner Hootus". I know the guy that did that, 20 years ago. His post was quite the internet sensation for a few months.
