Well they had to add length, width, power and new seats with shocks due to America getting fat over the last several decades. New mid size is old full size because they had to.

But seriously they had some major announcements lately. New Tacomas, Highlander, Land Cruiser return, new EV's and solid state batteries and battery plants in the US and Canada. Six EV''s by 2026 including a truck.

This is way more in line with what I saw on Monday. No one will ever see the Toyota Tacoma standard pricing, and then you go to dealers like Roundtree Moore in Lake City and they pump all of their vehicles with the "Roundtree Advantage" at $3,7xx. All up charges for things all new vehicles come with standard, and are already in the MSRP. I will either go to Valdosta GA, or WV like I did for my 2023 Kia Soul GT Line. They actually have the balls to add the same up charge to used vehicles on their lot. Don't worry though, it's only $1,999 for that worthless coverage that came from the factory and has aged out.

Dealers are trash. Ford dealers are shooting themselves in the foot with their Lightning markups. Now Ford corporate is considering not even selling them through dealers. With the EV mandates coming down the pike, that does not look good for Ford dealers. I would be fine if dealers went away completely.
