Guilty. :anonymous: I always wear a folder clipped inside of my right rear blue jean's pocket. I've noticed that I frequently brush against many things, causing scratch's in my trucks paint, inside of home's storm door, etc.

Could this be from seatbelts being slammed in the doors? I've seen it happen.

What year is your truck? Are you the first owner?
I don't see how anything could have done that with the doors closed while leaving the doors pristine. Even slamming the seat belts repeatedly should have damaged the doors too. This had to be done with the doors open. And that hole?? Looks almost intentional.

puncturing that steel is no easy task. definitely not from seat belt. even bumping it with the seats or something would really only leave some slight scratches. this took force and a sharp object.

It just looks punctured, just dented. Bad light on that pic looks like a hole.

Can you post a better picture?
Maybe there is black paint or black marker on the dent?

Look very closely at your seat belt to see if any paint transferred to it.

Even if you don’t recall it there, I’m still thinking this kind of damage was from a previous owner. I’d think you’d have to repeatedly slam the F out of the door on the seatbelt to cause this,,,,, but kids could do that in an instant, they can F up an anvil with a rubber mallet.

Now that we know there is no puncture I confidently vote seat belt buckle damage.
