Mom is lackadaisical when she shares the story :notsure: she had quite a bumber of miscarriages is various terms of life, her and dad kept trying till dad got a daughter. She would laugh about the toilet one in particular, so dont feel bad for (for her at least). Part of my crazy had to come from somewhere

I'm sure our insurance will cover it, probably be doing them a favor by making it a package deal

Especially if they can use @Sperrunner Milwaukee connections to purchase the necessary tools.

Strange situation with this Mean Green alternator that was keeping me from going and getting my 04 inspected.

Ever since I got the truck running the charging voltage was a bit low and the alternator was screaming for the first few minutes of runtime. With this upgraded alternator that was confusing. On my 1999 the basic Suzuki 105amp holds the 14.2-14.4 with no voltage booster fuse and upgraded 1/0 cables. So I threw another battery in just to rule things out, although the Northstar AGM I had installed tested fine. Same issue. Then I swapped alternators back to my stock 90amp. Same issue.

Then I noticed the new fusebox power cable had a larger lug than I'd originally noticed and had a poor connection. So once I'd swapped it to the smaller side of the military style terminal things improved drastically. My truck's voltage was sitting at 14.8 with the stock alternator and voltage booster. So I swapped the Mean Green back in and it's only barely hitting 14.1 with the voltage booster and ~13.6 without it. Just interesting and I think blaming the alternator is safe now. Looking into a 150amp direct fit Denso designed for some John Deere tractor.

I wonder if the regulator on the mean green has a bad connection, or is otherwise faulty.

what kind of noise was it?

I do appreciate it, but you don’t have to do anything. If you want to send anything donate it to a cancer charity.
Between my income and hers, (plus the insurance) this financially won’t hurt us. Best put that money to better use for others

Maybe you can use the flir camera to find the densest spot in the pile where the gravity of the tools is starting to pull them together and create fusion
