Went to install my @SpikerEng ineering hood strut's today. Removed the plastic, noticed that the plastic has been rattleing around and wore through my paint, and instead spent the day correcting my paint.

Check the panels in your hood folk's. I had to make pretty much all of them stop rattling, and all of them had paint damage underneath where it contacted the paint. Little PITA rust prevention now will save you from PITA body work later.

Love mine as well and still holding up great after a couple of years. Just wish I had reinstalled the OEM bolts as the included ones don't sit flush.

Tow hooks and shackles…is it true the drivers side is not a recovery point, the bumper will fly off? Heard that from somebody:boink:

Ouch, that sucks. The upside is now you don't have to worry about branches giving you that first big scratch when you go out on the trail.

"Lemon Pledged" the window tracks. I wrapped a lemon pledge-saturated microfiber towel around a credit card and ran it through all 4 window tracks. The windows now close now with a reassuring "pfft" sound - like the doors on the USS Enterprise. The formulation of Lemon Pledge works great as both a cleaner and a lubricant.

Ever try having the trash carrier on the passenger side of the tailgate? Instead of the “TACOMA” signage being covered to read as “COMA”, it would be “TACO”.
