We used to get those little bastards when I was stationed at Tortuga's. Never thought Florida has scorpions until one popped my toe while I was walking back to my quarters barefoot. Guess it's another reason to reconsider going to the valley in a few weeks for the weekend. What time of year do they go dormant/die off or whatever it's called?

The scorpion typically goes dormant when the temp goes below 77 degrees for a while. In other words, winter time

BRUH. I had one crawl onto me in the middle of the night one night when I lived in Philadelphia, of all places. My half asleep yell/profoundly un-masculine scream as I smashed it with a shoe was definitely something to hear.

Best description I could give would be that scream Lando lets loose when the Sarlacc grabs him in Return of the Jedi.:rofl::rofl:

Anyways... We still collectively flip our lids for Yuengling around here? :p I'm headed back to PA for the first time in... 5 years-ish, something like that. 20th reunion for my HS but that was just an excuse to come see my buddies from high school and college and whatnot.

When I lived in Pittsburgh, we used to get these in the house sometimes and I absolutely despised these things. And they were fast so you had to make the first swat count lmao

Best thing you can do instead of paying for pest control, go to a diy pest place, buy anything that has lambda-cyhlothrin in it and a sprayer. Hit it once a month, 1 foot up the wall, 2 feet out from the wall for a total of 3 foot barrier around the house, same on block walls and spray all the way up the H block in between the panels. It’s a bit pricy up front but it’ll save you money over time and you’re not getting the bs that pest control companies sell you. Take it from a former pest tech

Put DE in a puffer and puff it up into the stem wall. It’s cleaner and you don’t have white powder all over the outside of the house.
