Is there frame damage? Will it be totaled?

EDIT: Here's a link to my neighbor's dash cam footage that shows the collision https://player.vimeo.com/video/836965169?h=8f52ac6dad

Basically, an older lady who lives in my neighborhood got her gas/brake pedals confused and proceeded to slam into my 2023 lunar rock TRD Sport, which was parked and unoccupied. The damage is almost exclusively in the bed with only scratches in the cabin.

I work in the medical field and am very uneducated when it comes to vehicles, so I'm hoping you folks can provide some insight.

My question is - do we think there is damage to the frame? If there is, is that enough to total the vehicle? What sort of complications can I expect if

The truck is at the body shop, who said they may not be able to get to it for another 4-6 weeks.

Also - and most importantly, the other driver is totally fine, just a little sore

Only your adjuster knows for sure, but my retired banker opinion is fixable.

Is the black circle where the truck was initially parked?? If so…yeah she needs her license revoked ASAP.

Yep ..... and neighbors said she was flying down the road a couple hundred yards away, so she must have been confused for quite some time. I am very glad she is ok, but I also think for the safety of everyone (including herself), she should at least have to retake a driving test, if not have the license revoked

Frame is most likely toast, rear axle may be suspect. That truck was booted, so probably other issues as well. As far as totaled? With frame lead times,,, hopefully.

I wish someone insured would do that to mine, I’d love to flatbed it with a full camper top.

-Glad you are OK and hope the other driver is ok as well!

I just uploaded dash cam footage of the collision. You can see her go airborne before hitting the truck lol

    Sorry for your loss.
Even if the insurance doesn't total it, I'd be looking to trade it in on a new one.
Looks like it was hit from the side/tbone'd.
It will never be the same. Wait for the insurance adjustment, claim for diminished value and trade it in on a new one.
    Just my opinion
