Yes, pure and simple, just lucky. Good chance that 80% of the police in that area and from home to work graduated from that academy. But I ain’t taking a chance cause luck will run out, just slowing down.
Everyone have a safe and nice weekend and happy early Father’s Day to you all.

10 years in the Army Reserves here, and 15 as a defense contractor. Currently on the promotion list for E6 but olanning to go officer within 4 years. Tons of TDY for both, also bought a house that needed work so that's keeping me going while also doing school as a 3/4 student.

Someday I need to take a break...

Debating on whether or not to go buy this 1958 Chrysler New Yorker for a father-son project with my 6 and 11 year old sons. They really like it and the price is right as long s it's not more rusted than the guy is telling me. I know it needs a trunk pan and driverside floor pan as well as an interior redo and motor and trans (392 hemi and torqflite previous owner removed for another car). It'll be a slow 4-5 year project so that my son can drive it too when he's old enough. It was a running driving car 1 1/2 years ago so fuel and brake systems should be good but I'll go through all of that as well. Im no stranger to old cars nd im a welder/mechanic so thats covered. I know the rockers and quarters/wheelwells are probably going to need attention as well. Good thing is they reproduce almost everything for this car still.

    What are your thoughts?

:pccoffee:  PA peeps. Sending good vibes to folks in the path of the wild weather moving through SE PA just now.
That's a lot of rust. If you're up for that amount of bodywork, more power to you! Hemi engine might be kinda expensive, not sure about that. I think a big thing might be availability of replacement body and floor panels. Some of it you can do with sheet steel but floors might need a pre-stamped piece.

Good luck! Keep us updated. I love watching other people work. ;)

Trunk pan is $224. Driver floor pan is $146. Rockers are $59 each. I don't plan on doing a full restoration on it, simply fix what's needed, keep the patina and put in a newer drivetrain. I was thinking a 318 or 360 engine and torqflite from a 60's-70's pre emissions drivetrain or I could possibly off the Diehard Mopar lovers and put the LS I already have in it LOL. Would rather go full Mopar though. Possibly change the front brakes over to disc since it'll be a daily cruiser/ show car. It'll be a period of about 5 years so spreading the funds out for parts, etc... isn't an issue. Metal work is easy for me, plus my neighbor/landlord is a frame and body guy of over 50 years so if I need any special tools I don't have for body work/metal work I'm good. It won't be a bondo buggy, full steel.

I see a build thread in your future. And I would love to see the progression of said build.

I want to see those jaws in action, but the best I could on such short notice were some tortilla chips from Amanda's work, and our reptilian friend didn't go for 'em...

The aforementioned woman across the street provided a snow shovel, and said her husband previously relocated snapping turtles by pulling them by the tail, but she was wearing flipflops and afraid to go near it; I scooped up the turtle and placed it in the grass...

He mention that it's prom night a couple times but I'm thinking he's alittle too old for prom unless he's got that same disease Jack had and he's really only 17-18 years old but aging like milk.:D

We know he's not trying to finally lose his virginity. :notsure:

    I'm guessing chaperone.
