Alignment needed? Bilstein 5100 and TSB Leaf Springs

I recently had the following done to the Taco:

TSB Rear Leaf Springs
Bilstein 5100's (all 4) (fronts set to 1.75")

I noticed that the front tires are slightly bent in at the bottom of the tire. Is an alignment needed after having both of these done? I was told to give it a few days to see if it "bounces" itself out....but I don't think it will.

 

its always good to get an alignment after changing suspension components. are the 5100's set at stock height or are they giving you lift?

 

Where is the best and cheapest place to get an alignment done?

I made the mistake of getting the TSB done before I put the 5100's on.

Go to Firestone, they have a lifetime alignment deal. I get my alignments done there all the time.. The lifetime deal isn't cheap, (i think $140) but in the long run it pay's off...

 

Yes, get an alignment. Also, I installed my 5100s front and rear. If you read the Toyota Installation instructions for the front shocks, it states to leave the bottom bolt on the front shocks finger tight until you put the tires on the ground. Then tighten them to factory specs. This allows the front end to settle.

 

Definitely get an alignment then.

The Firestone liftime alignment is a good deal, it ends up paying for itself in the long run. wish the firestone in my area offered them

 

i called firestone in my area....$179.99 + tax = $200!

None what i know of... But really, is 180 too much for something that cost like idk $65 to do each time? If you didn't get it, you will only get 3 alignments for little over the cost of the life time.

 

No way I am spending $200 on an alignment. Kwik Kar of Keller will do it for $59.95.

 

Seriously, I don't have one close to me...so lets stop discussing them.

Sure that may be the best deal overtime, but I don't have $200 to spend right now and don't have a Firestone near me.

call a different shop. most tire shops offer lifetime alignmet deals, not just Firestone... but still the price is most likely going to be around the same price whever you look.
