I recently installed new wheels and tires on my 2019 Tacoma TRD off-road. I am interested to see if there are any other Tacoma owners out there with these wheels! I jumped through a few hoops to get these wheels, and I have not seen these wheels on a Tacoma yet, so I think I may be the only one who went through the trouble.

The wheels I got are the Toyota TRD Pro 17" 6 Spoke Bronze Wheel (PTR56-89210-F5). These wheels are special cause they are an OEM Toyota product but are only available on the 40th Anniversary 4Runner.

I also fit BFGoodrich All-Terrain T/A KO2 All-Season LT285/70R17/C on stock suspension and no cutting except for a 2-inch piece of plastic on the fender liner. After that small bit of trimming, I no longer have any rubbing.

btw the center caps are not in these photos cause they were on backorder for about a month. I just got them in.

Did they use the same tpms and lug nuts from stock wheels?

Yup! I plan on getting some black lug nuts but the stock ones work fine and same with the tpms sensors

No rubbing. I locked out the suspension once to see if it would rub and had no problems. The stock suspension has a surprising amount of travel

yup I’ve seen a lot of the black ones. There easy to get. The bronze ones are not as common because it only came on that special 4Runner

I love my trail edition grill. Worth the little extra money in order to have the matching bronze accents

yeah the bronze are nice. Mine are actually aftermarket from Factory Style Wheels. They also do have them in bronze with different offsets.

Yeah, I saw those and was tempted, but I needed the OEM spec to fit 285 tires on stock suspension. I also preferred to have OEM wheels. Idk why but you can't get the reps with the same offset as the wheel they are copying, lol. Maybe copy-write reasons.

How much did you pay for yours?

Did you have any issues with the fitment of these bronze wheels? I have seen some posts talking about fitment issues of these newer 4Runner wheels.

Nope, no problems. My guess is these claims came from people who bought reps. I got mine from a Toyota-certified wholesaler.
