Not everyone gets the blisters… like @Wyckedan doesnt look like he’s gotten any. To be fair I also swell up and get a bad histamine reaction every tattoo I get.

it was suppose to be this:
    IMG_0327.jpg
The only pictures I have of it before hand are what you’ve seen. That’s how much I hated it. The only thing I agreed to change was the position on my arm.

I’ve drawn all my own ink with the exception of two pieces. The artists I’ve gone to have always modified something I wasn’t happy with (cause I suck at drawing some subjects like Japanese water). This guy changed the whole thing. I hated it before I even left the shop. There was a few flags that I know I should’ve left before I even sat down. But lessons learned, the rest of the story is one for a drink at a fire lol.

So I finally got the courage to go to a wonderful shop that has been amazing to work with, and the cover up is scheduled for March next year which will also complete that sleeve.

The type of laser, application, etc makes a huge difference. I have no idea who @TinyTech626 went to, but I did a shit load of research, and ended up going with a very nice and expensive place, but it definitely showed in the work. Just like tattooing, you get what you pay for, there are definitely exceptions, everyone reacts different. Inks can make a HUGE difference too. If it has titanium or ferric oxide in it (you'd be surprised what some companies use) there are bigger chances of a reaction

    This too^
Given the physical state of the tattoo (depth and blow outs, I don’t remember what ink was used, but it was not the same brand my normal artist uses) also play a role.

That’s pretty cool that you draw your own. My latest is from a painting that my son did.

I blame my 9th grade art teacher who said my art would never hang in a museum

jokes on her… my Senior year that actually happened thanks to a different art teacher.

Tattoos? I think if you duck back far enough in the thread, the majority of them are posted here.

I had a portrait of Austin’s face removed from my upper arm. I’ll try to see if I can find pics of the process. It sucked but was over in 10 mins tops of each session. I did not blister first time but didn’t second. I think it was either too soon or they turned up a setting.

That’s another thing too… the depth of the ink will require deeper penetration to break up the ink.

Righ after first sessionIMG_4321.png I think this one was after the second session I only needed it light enough to cover up. This is where my sunflower is now.
I didn’t like it. It was very one dimensional (flat).

I was also told part of body that tattoo was on plays a part too. I think he said meaty (vascular) did better than bony places.
