Had a bunch of spare M8x16mm or 20mm so that's what I went with. Given how thin the bed is that should provide plenty of clamping force for my shit lol

    Oh no way?

Yeah that'd be more than enough especially since you used washers

I bought a bag of washers recently and noticed that M10 works for the 3 side holes and M10 or M12 works for the 2 slots; then again I don't have a 1st Gen so I can't test it out :bananadead:

Sucks I don't have a guinea pig near me

Had a weird 'wont crank' situation yesterday out of the blue. After some digging through it with a multimeter, it was the Amazon special 'Military battery terminals' that I put on last year. I Swapped it out with a newer set then no issues. I'll be looking for a better option going forward. I guess it was bad metallurgy since there wasn't a spot of corrosion, but had an .8VDC drop between the battery post and the terminal.

It's less Tacoma and more mod
The all lead ones are the ones you want, NAPA part counter has them in bulk usually. They can just grab a + and - out for you

Picked up a 1st Gen Tacoma about a week ago and haven’t stopped tinkering with it yet. It’s my first Tacoma but I’ve been pretty impressed with it so far. I’m originally from Texas but live in Washington and am loving the PNW outdoorsy life.

    I’ve manage to add:

    Touchscreen radio with Apple CarPlay
    Reserve Camera
    GENTEX 453 Rear View Mirror
    Mille Style Seat Storage
    USB charging ports
    Phone mount
    LED Dash-lights and Interior lights
    Tailgate lock
    TRD accents

Next on my list is a Hard Tonneau cover, Side Steps, aftermarket grill, vinyl flooring, painting interior trim, and bulbs for the HVAC ones I broke

Thanks! It's been a long 10 years of blood sweat and tears to get it where it is now! Your rear bumper looks good man!

Be curious to see your frame mounting plates

Better yet, would love measurements (just the length) as I have someone that wants a Tacoma rear bumper in the next few months but he's a bit too busy to get me measurements (and a distance away)

The "plates" that attach the bumper to the frame are actually 2x2 square tubing. 2 bolts in from the bottom 5/16 18 and 2 1/2-13 from the side.
I wanted to re use the factory bumper mounts but they seemed super weak
