Totally never a JD issue but a compatibility issue.

I just replaced my SPC's yesterday. I took my truck back to the shop I bought them from and they gave me a new set. For what they cost I would have expected more out of them.

Same! Needed caster without sacrificing quality performance. I’ll post back once I get time to throw them on!

Yes! I ordered the .75 caster arms, took about 3-4 weeks to get delivered. I installed them about 2 weeks ago and had a little on and off road use in that time. The ride feel’s actually much smoother now than before, alignment numbers are all good, however I did have to push caster forward a bit more as I started to rub the pinch weld a bit.
All in all, 100% satisfied. Looks much beefier than total chaos arms did and didn’t sacrifice too much caster. I got full stuff and lock and didn’t feel any severe rubbing, just need a little more trimming.

For sure! Definitely a step up, just make sure to crank your caster forward or you’ll have to trim a bit more!

Just finished my install of these with some fox elite shocks.
It's so much more solid now and the knocking from the SPCs is gone.

Just FYI, you can run the 0.25 uppers even with stock lowers, and that should get you a bit more clearance with the pinch weld than the 0.75. Trade off is less caster than optimal for increased clearance. This will still be more caster than the stock UCAs, so still an improvement in steering feel.

What’s interesting is the stock UCA gives you the most tire clearance as it puts the upper ball joint most forward in the wheel well.

So I got the .75 arms and my caster is only 1.4° on the driver side with the camber being at 0°. The alignment cams are both maxed outward.

Passenger side caster is 2.1° with camber being 0.4° the cams still have a little adjustment left.

Seems weird that the drivers side is so low. Not sure I can do much about it. I have a 2 in lift.

Anyone else have these arms who can give their alignment specs?

No experience with JD’s but I can give advice on another alternative. Ironman 4x4 oem style bushings so they are quiet and easily sourced ball joints (you can use oem ball joints if you want). Perfect alignment numbers with them. Excellent quality too. Excellent product.
But I’m following for more info on the JD’s I like to know what’s what.

Keep us updated. I’ve never had luck with those type ball joints(they were on my bigger trucks though). Curious to see how good those are.

I’ve always heard from guys that wheel their truck moderate to heavy knock the ball joint slide adjustment out of wack. That was enough for me to find something else

Here was my last alignment with my JD arms and Dobinsons set at like 2.5” lift. Got the caster good enough at 2.4 to just rub the pinch weld, so finally hammered that in. I have a CMR so no rub there for obvious reasons, just the pinch. Throwing King’s on tomorrow so we’ll see how it changes things!

About 8,000 miles on my arms now with a lot of really hard wheeling on them, and they have performed flawlessly!

That's awesome! Good to hear. I'm pretty happy with them so far. I might have to have the shop make some adjustments to my alignment though. I think he just went for the green and didn't try to do any better
