Cain certainly learned how to do the shut down inning when he did get a few. What Gregor Blanco did as a Giant didn’t make him elite even among Giants outfielders but he definitely had some huge moments for us and one was in Cain’s perfect game.

Cards Jays game was fun to watch. Lots of runs in the final innings.

Michael Conforto’s got my interest. Also finally seeing results of Farhan’s draft choices now that they’re getting a chance. It’s gonna take time to fill that empty bucket though. There are very few teams that can afford to have an extensive minor league roster and the money to treat the rest of the league as a AAAA affiliate. I don’t expect to win it all any given year just hope that guys play well and injuries are at a minimum so we can compete and have a chance for lightening in a bottle. No one really knows what’s going to happen come post season, it’s a different beast than most other sports.

The Giants have really turned it around the past few weeks, and it felt good to be able to say "they finally made it to .500" earlier today. Casey Schmitt is looking like a real solid pickup, too.

I've enjoyed watching Schmitt play quite a bit. He's been flashing the lumber and the leather. Ya love to see it!

Oakland A's fans have a "reverse boycott" game tonight. Over 20K tickets sold.
They want the team to stay and accuse ownership of tanking so they can move to Las Vegas

Yeah, that'll convince them. I was there a few weeks ago, and that place is absolutely dead, aside from the guys yelling SELL THE TEAM and FISHER SUCKS and whatnot. Having a significant portion of the fanbase show up for one game to protest isn't going to change a damn thing, except for maybe causing actual lines for the restrooms.

    I feel bad for Oakland.

They really don’t support the team regularly. Just waiting for the city to approve a ballpark was excruciating.

I was at a A’s Guardian game, 4900 at the park. Might be my last game at the coliseum.

I love the bay bridge series, I guess that’s a dying tradition as well.

My Giants are playing well though……….

Money ball killed them. They just completely stopped resigning their good players and fans just lost interest. It’s a tough pill when you know any promising player that makes good will be playing for somebody else the bulk of their career.

Well, that and the fact that Mt Davis ruined the Coliseum, nevermind that neither the As or the Raiders did much (read: anything) to renovate the stadium in the past 25 or so years.

The Giants organization built PAC Bell not the city. A’s want everything handed to them. They leech off the luxury taxes paid by other teams. Vegas should hold out for an expansion team and let the A’s fade away into obscurity.

Baseball in Vegas is a bad idea.

Have they not learned from Phoenix?! Nobody is gonna come to a ballpark in the heat of summer to sit in a cramped area and burn to death watching a crappy team.

There is way better cities that deserve an MLB team. Nashville, Charlotte, Indy... Etc.

    Two things. First off...

    upload_2023-6-16_22-39-35.png

Second, Dave Roberts clearly upset the Baseball Gods tonight, because you just don't take out somebody throwing a no-hitter, especially if it's their MLB debut. Pitch count be damned. (And I'm saying that as someone who absolutely hates the Dodgers.)
