Forgot to mention we have DD SS3 Pros on my mom's Subaru Ascent and dad's F350 along with my truck.

I have the DD Max fogs w/o backlighting, love them. Not the pros, but wanted to mention no radio static/key fob issues on my end with the stock system or the OEM + Reference 500 I have now.

I have both DD and BD lights on my truck for the past 4 years. No issues on both of them.
DD: fog lights, ditch lights, and dust lights
BD: Front bumper/grill lights, roof rack lights, and side lights

I picked DD because of the quality, customer service (US based, friendly folks), and good value. I dont have radio interference issue.
I picked BD because they fit nicely on the uptop overland roof rack, good quality, and great warranty

I dont think you can go wrong with either one.

The Baja is sold out, so….
But serious, Baja has great customer service and stands behind their product. I have had both, and only prefer the DD because of the lens color. Baja seems to be more yellow than orange. Never heard of the interference issue, but I don’t use my radio. I mean it’s 2023.

I was about to ask the same question. I have read nothing but good things about the DD. Now the question is what level do I want?

Another vote for DD, had them in two different vehicles.
Though I’m sure if you buy top tier name brand driving lights, you won’t be disappointed either way.

I have been happy with my DD Pro fogs. No issues. DD is one of the few companies that makes LEDs rated for cold conditions. Of course, most people don't see cold enough for it to matter.

    Enough for now
Love my diode dynamics max ambers, super bright and made my commute in fog much better. Extremely bright and I do get flashed by other drivers sometimes and they throw a wide beam to the side.

Baja designs also makes a kick ass light.

I think it really comes down to what you are going to use them for.

@memario1214 may be able to hook you up with a lighting discount if you PM him.

I've had DD SS3's for over 4 years now with 0 issues...no radio static and really work fantastic in foggy situations. Good solid aluminum housings and I've had them completely under water during creek bed crossings.

IMO the minimum would be the Pros since you are in Canada. The Sports don't melt snow and ice but the Pros do. If you can get the Max's that is what I would get but the Pros are not a bad option.

@memario1214 have you done any comparison testing on these that could help the OP out? IDK shit about lights so I'd be hitting you up if I were in his predicament.

I have the DD max clear with no back light no issues at all. I bought the max cause the cutoff is so crisp. They light the night up but i have never been flashed.

DD all around. I ran Amazon lights at first just to get light. Then I upgraded to DD becuase I didn't like the Baja price tag. Haven't had any issues at all with DD. My buddy even put their fogs in his Subaru.

Another vote here for the Diode Dynamics. I have the SS3 Max and holy crap do they put out a lot of light. I hardly need headlights when I have them on. I've not had any ill effects from them and I've never been flashed but I only run them in inclement weather.

I’ll give two thumbs up for Baja Design squadron sports amber as fog lights and squadron pros wide angle for off-road. A 30” light bar bumper mounted with switch pros gives me plenty of light and easy on/off access.

Thanks for the call-out gents. Appreciate it! :fistbump:

T confirm what @AmateurTaco1313 said we do our best to give TW members the best deals we can.
If you want me to punch the stamp down, the DD SS3 pros are the better product. They have a wider spread of light, and are simply brighter. They also will get hot enough to actively clear snow (if that's a consideration where you live). The new BD SAEs are far better than their previous effort, but still don't perform as well as the SS3s... and cost more. If you're a BD fan then they are a solid product, but your money is better spent on the SS3 pros.

Shameless plug, and I know you weren't shopping with us initially, but we have the SS3 kits (and BDs if you decide that route) here at Hotshot Offroad.
