Well I just said he was right about Toyota sales and I thought you didn't and I disagreed.

If you are referring to that graphic someone posted, if that's where you've seen the 17 mpg. That was someone's guess. Not from Lexus.

The only thing I said about sales was, they are the number 1 auto manufacturer in the World, if they wanted to, they could have made the diesel happen here. Already have the emissions tech done in other markets. Wouldn’t be too-too difficult. Not like they are reinventing the wheel. Hell, they made a case for keeping the Sequoia, sales are dismal, plus the Tundra somehow stays around too. Diesel Tacoma would sell like hot cakes.

    Some may think otherwise… lol!

Let me guess, your last car was a Subaru and you have a mint 3G with Maxtrax plates bolted on every side of your bed. KO2s and an aftermarket Pro grill as well?

You are correct. I looked at the middle number 17/22/19 in the chart.

The chart that says 17 combined is from a Lexus press release from the Lexus website.

    upload_2023-6-16_17-51-29.png

    It does say preliminary.

You aren’t wrong, Tacomas are not cheap, do nothing well compromise vehicles. And for some damn reason we love them. Rich guys, poor guys, and those in the middle. It is cheaper than owning two vehicles. Ideally I would do a cheap commuter car and a 1 Ton for the weekends and vacations. Wouldn’t save me any money though.

I don't care what you drink and no, lots of gas engines all over the world that do just fine lol. Who doesn't have a 4 banger truck engine now?

The Euro market has a lower ppm requirement for diesel then the US thanks to John Beale who was a faker, had NO scientific experience/training or background but wrote the policy for the EPA. This is a fact and a matter of record if there are any questions you are more than welcome to research Senate record EPA playbook John Beale https://www.bing.com/ck/a?!&&p=6285...OS1lY2EwLWY5ZDItOTYzNi1iNzI4NmYzMzg5YTU&ntb=1

A lot of people would love the Hilux if it was affordable/available! Just my .02

The Tacoma reliability and capability is what people want. I drove one for a bit and I enjoyed it. To me it would make a great daily driver and trip to go offroading for some campouts, hunts and fishing while being relatively comfortable. I don't believe it costs as much to maintain as my 3/4 ton. Everything seems to cost a lot on those things.

    Thank you.

So not very many, as someone suggested there are loads and loads of turbo gasser trucks being used throughout the world. First one was back in the 80s which had a short run. The second hasn’t been in a truck platform long enough to prove it’s long term reliability.

That is what I thought, didn’t think there were many in truck applications.

Oh, I see. You lack the intelligence to have a substantive discussion. Moreover, there is nothing to qualify your opinions--or "feelings." That's cool. Just remember that facts don't care about feelings, bruv.

Ah okay, I thought those specs were from a pundit not Lexus.

Lol. I don't; and as long as I have the option I never will. Unless you mean vendors? Then I guess all vendors manufacture a 4-banger--but not at the behest of the consumer; its because it is more advantageous for them ($ $ $).

Would get a hell of a lot better mpgs if it was diesel…

Per your previous posts, sounds like you trying to tells the benefits of a gas turbo, and now complaining about the lack of fuel economy.

So many feelings you have, but no facts to qualify those opinions, huh? Days must be long and hard for you.
