Seriously not a fan of that combo

Don’t get me wrong the work looks excellent. Just not liking the white, gold and some black

No sweat. Not my style either. The black is because I had to remove the panels off the dishwashers so they could install the stone tops.

2 dishwashers? Is this a new trend?

So brushed brass is the newest fashion? Not my taste, but also not my money.

Nice work but not my style either. I didn't realize they had "Cat Houses" in Philadelphia!

I agree, well done work, but I think the white cabinet thing is going to be a fad like the pastel colored kitchens and bathrooms of the 50s and 60s. Some day, people are going to be looking at houses and saying "Why did so many people think these white kitchens looked good in the 2010s and 2020s?"

I think they look very institutional. Give me natural wood cabinets and granite countertops any day.

I like how the island top mimics the pilaster bases

My wife's niece moved in with us. Does that count as two dishwashers?

I had zero dishwashers before kids. Now I’d definitely buy two if the wife said ok. F’ing hate dishwasher Tetris.

My neighbor graduated from HS in 1947, he painted the sidewalk going up to the house. In the 70's - 80's you could still read what he wrote, in the early 2000's there was still paint clearly visible on the sidewalk. I will have to look and see if any is left.
Naturally it was oil base back then.

Sat my fat rear end in it.
My wife and I were just lamenting that we didn't put two in our house. Pull clean dishes out of one, use them, and load them dirty into the other. They'd never need to see the inside of a cabinet

I’m going to attempt DIY baseboard. Already have a miter saw and stand. Shopping for team yellow 20v nailers. Any advice?

    Angled is important I assume?
23 gauge? Or 18? No clue here
Regular nailer not brads or pin?

The number of choices dewalt has listed are a bit overwhelming.

Personally I don't like 23 gauge for anything permanent as it doesn't seem properly immobilized. Some of my original trim was attached with 23 gauge and I just twist/pull it off by hand without using any tools. The corners weren't glued and none if them lined up anymore after a couple years.

I think 18 Ga. is the right choice for interior trim/base and usually use 1-3/4" with 1/2" drywall and ~1/4 baseboard.

Lots of varying opinions on this though. Some people like 23 Ga. for stain grade to hide the nails, but I still prefer 18 Ga. for practical reasons.
