I used advertised mpgs because thats the whole point, the whole point is to estimate what the EPA reported MPG will be for the Tacoma Do I need to say it louder dunce?
I did not say the dataset on fuelly was wrong, I said its not applicable to my comparison and explained why. I was never claiming that the advertised mpgs were "real" it was simply used as a baseline of data. As a scientist you surely know what a baseline is right? Oh wait you arent a real scientist, you just have a fancy title to obscure your insecurity.

EPA highlights city, combined and highway across different trims, configurations and engines. Fuelly does not, not even close.
The EPA numbers come from a standardized test to provide empirical data. Fuelly uses random people who may or may not upload accurate information and does not provide context to their driving characteristics, not to mention the data holes.

Like I said if you want to do your own comparison with your own data set then by all means go for it but you can kindly pound sand out of mine.

Thank you for providing such valuable contributions to the forum. Maybe you can leverage your 5 years of experience to provide your own estimation and supporting calculation to determine what the EPA reported mpg for the Tacoma will be.

I'll wait on an aggregate of real world user reported data, it tends to be the most accurate.

You’re just sitting on an unmoved lawn drinking coffee and insulting people on the internet?

You literally said that you’re drinking coffee in your lawn as you type, and you’re sitting here being a generally insulting jerk to everyone. Not sure what I missed

You said “unmowed” which contradicts the definition of lawn and you said sitting which I neither inferred nor implied. Insulting people is subjective however would only be directed at a single person so “everyone” is also quite misleading given I only had two posts prior to Juniors tantrum and neither of which can be interpreted as insulting. Would you also like a tissue? Maybe hooked on phonics?

I shouldn’t have skipped to page 4, I thought we were discussing fuel economy and somehow it’s been derailed.

to be on topic I know Toyota what’s best class economy but looking at the 3G GM they won’t have to shoot very high to beat that.

I predict it would be 2-3 MPG again max, if even that.

And if that is true, it will be disappointing but also beneficial to the 3rd gen owners. Our 6 cylinder is simpler and has less to go wrong compared to the new turbo engine with comparable gas mileage
