Cheapest solution for front recovery shackles?

    I have a 2023 black SR coming in the next few weeks. I would like to add a couple recovery d ring shackles to the front of the truck and dont feel like spending $100+ on them, am I able to buy a couple of these and mount them to the front or do i need other parts to be able to mount them or what? Cheaper the better but I do like the look of two front D rings on the tacomas if possible. thanks. Will be used a recovery points if stuck.

    I’m not sure where you are going to install the shackle. Look for something that bolts to the frame.

    Those shackle kits are for looks only!
    They will shear if used for recovery….bad news

    There’s no place to attach shackles or any other safe recovery point on the front of a stock Tacoma. Also you shouldn’t cheap out on something you are relying on to save your heavy expensive truck. Plus if your cheapo shackle breaks and flies through the air injuring/killing yourself or someone else you’re gonna have a bad time. Buy an ARB recovery hook if you want something you can actually use.

    it's only $302. you spent a minimum of $30,000 on a truck.

    $300 is dirt cheap for something that is properly rated not to kill you.
