6 fills the system, I had to buy 2 more since I swapped the water pump. But the system volume is 6 gallons.

Glad You didn’t run into an issue using the factory pump. Was a bit worried it wasn’t enough. Guess I just need to properly bleed it

Well, got word from the driveshaft shop today.

1900$ later, custom front and rear driveshaft are in the works.

front shaft is going to be a CV joint, rear will be a U joint. Waiting on parts, but it’ll be end of next week before I have the truck back.

gives me time to put together the wiring and stuff needed for the rear fans, and most importantly, clean the garage. I’ve seen bomb sites cleaner.

That’s odd. I would have thought the reverse. U-joint front & CV/double cardan for the back. The CV needs to be at zero angle with the diff while u joints only need the flanges in the same plane.

I don’t know the first thing about it. It’s a super reputable shop with trophy truck experience, so i figured they know what they’re doing. They’re going to adjust the pinion angle as well.

It probably has to do with the shorter length of the front shaft plus if it has to get angle around anything as they are more forgiving angle-wise. The short length/angles are the reasons a lot of lifted Jeeps go to a rear CV because they can't get a good enough angle on a stock slip-joint to prevent vibrations.

I also don't think that you can rotate the front diff to point directly at the TC output the same way you can do with shims in the rear but I could be mistaken about that.

Can’t really reclock the front diff like you can on the rear because it’ll oil starve the pinion bearing (also why diff drops suck!)

I should've clarified, the front pinion angle is staying the same, the rear pinion angle is the one thats being adjusted. Im excited to see what they came up with, but it'll be end of next week. It's like Christmas morning right now. Rather, the week before Christmas, but you snuck into your parents bedroom to see what you got, so now you're excited for the "reveal"

GM... Why on earth did you decide to use a NPS thread for the transmission cooler fitting holes.

And don’t forget the rear fitting has to be a stem style to lubricate the pump! You can buy the adapters to -6 or -8… I prefer-8 and my truck is super tight so I have to install the trans with the lines on

I just bought two 1/4 NPS to 3/8 barb fittings. Is that not sufficient?

Did you end up do an 80 or a 60? I know the 80 needs the stem fittings. I also only ever use bolt together HP fittings for trans lines

Its a 60. I cant find what you're talking about with a stem online. so maybe thats an 80 thing.

Looks like your planning on having some night vision fun with those IR lights. If you would like I can look into your order on that Linkable for you.
