Finally got it all back together and took it for a test drive. Did a driveway alignment and it drives great. Just need to adjust the tie rods to straighten out the steering

Not much to report. Detailed the interior today and it’s probably the cleanest it’s been since I have owned it.

God I miss steering wheel controls. My Tacoma had them but my 4Runner is too low of a package for them, and then I went and put in a touchscreen without physical buttons :annoyed:

The only buttons of any use are the volume buttons  Bluetooth phone is terrible and the only source I use is a crappy Bluetooth FM radio thing that plugs into the cigarette lighter. To make matters worse, all the speakers are blown.

Anyone make a good dash kit to put in a head unit? I bought basically the cheapest carplay deck I could find and it was such a huge improvement. That doesn't help with blown speakers though

The downside to the factory nav unit is that it has the climate control built into it so not easy to swap out.

Haha. One of my speakers blew and took the amp with it. Looked into getting it fixed but the amp can be pricey. There is a company (United Radio I think?) that can repair and bullet proof the amp, but I've been lazy and cheap. Haven't had a radio for 2 or 3 years now.

Stepping up my #overland game. Roam case and expedition essentials maxtrax mount. Putting a 100w solar panel above the sunroof. Also got these molle panels that hang on the headrest posts. Need to figure out what to put on them.

Nailed it on the camber for my driveway alignment. Did alright with the caster. Toe was terrible.

New factor55 ultrahook. I really need to do something about the fogged headlights!

Did mine awhile back with a ceramic coating. Was a cheap kit and seemed to work okay for now (link). Quoted my results below.

Was fed up with my sunroof rattling so I found some tv mount spacers that were perfect for wedging in the sunroof track. No more rattle! Now I need to figure out the best way to seal the sunroof permanently.
