"Do onto others as they would on to you"...if people treat me with respect, I will reciprocate. If people don't I will reciprocate too. That's all I have for you. If you don't have anything to add to this question other than to judge my character, please get off this thread and allow people to respond with useful information. God bless!

    Hey there, thanks for that.

Did you take a look at the pdf quote from 4WP that I attached to this thread before commenting? Just because I make good money, doesn't mean I want to waste it on unnecessary parts does it?

The reason I reached out to this forum was because I was under the assumption that people on this forum are specialists in off-roading and can assist me in choosing the right parts to do what I want to achieve, which is to maximize my trucks efficiency in going off-road without getting "taken for a ride" by various off-roading install shops because they want to overcharge me for parts that I don't need. So far only one person, ie Ace96 has actually offered up some advice that is worth a damn, while the rest have engaged in character assassination, because of their own insecurities or what not, or because they deem I don't have the right attitude or am not displaying the humility for asking the question, which to me is completely besides the point.

For all future answers if you would be so kind as to look at the attached quote and offer some suggestions as to what is absolutely necessary and what is not, and include links to the parts that are necessary for a novice like myself, it would be appreciated. Pretty please with sugar on top. Happy Father's day!

Your first post started with attitude so that is what you are going to get. Again, people here told you what to do. You want to have your hand to be held? Search is your best friend. Do some research. Price compare online. 4wp is not recommended.

I see someone already posted the links, those will get you more of a local response. I've made some great friends on here both on and off the Internet on my local in New England.

If you want to really go down the rabbit hole, open the Forums tab at the top and you'll find lots of different stuff to explore for trucks and just life in general.

no one has told me anything that adds to my knowledge so I’m not sure what you’re referring to. I posted a pdf of the quote from 4WP and so far other than a few folks has sent me a decent response as to which parts are superfluous and unnecessary, and which ones are essential. Hey we all need our hands held and a helping hand sometimes. Just as if you asked about my specialty Bridge & Tunnel construction, and I would educate you in baby steps instead of throwing you to the wolves and telling you to fend for yourself, which is pretty much the gist of your response.

nor have I at any point in this discussion stooped down to peoples level by telling people that they’re assholes or have a bad attitude. I’ve been factual, calm and logical so before you start throwing stones take a good hard look at yourself.

Classic TW post. Creates a thread and then starts weirdly insulting people when he doesn’t like their answers, and flexing about his Commiefornia 4WD club membership and weirdly flexing his bridge and tunnel construction knowledge?

To put it in perspective if you’re gonna spend 12k on all the off road sliders and other bs you probably won’t need, I would just trade this in and wait for a 2024 Trail hunter edition.
If not, the price seems reasonable. I spent about 5k to get a full Toytec suspension lift, tires and wheels.

Did you even check the attached PDFs before responding or are you upset that I live in a state that’s different from yours? If I wanted a response on my attitude I’d contact my shrink not put a post on this site, so get off your high horse and stop bothering me and wasting my time with your shitty and off topic responses

With all sincerity, if you can't take internet criticism or just ignore them, put in the legwork yourself and start reading. Don't stop reading until you've found your answers:
    Suspension | Tacoma World

Here's my advice. Put the sliders on, and go drive your truck where you wanted to drive it while you're in the research phase. If the extent of your research is "I got a 4WP quote for icon everything," you're in trouble. Sadly though, as others have stated, its not the cost of parts that you can't live with, its the labor rape. You're gonna be in the same boat regardless of where you go when you're paying someone else to do the work. Admittedly, everyone around here isn't an auto mechanic, but many of us took the time to research (how simple it actually is) suspension installs, and used the thousands of saved dollars towards those other parts we wanted.

Just use your noodle. Would you rather skimp on lower quality parts and still pay $1k+ labor to meet your $3500 goal, and end up with an 'almost better than stock' type of lift, or would you rather buy $3500 worth of insane quality parts, and learn to do the work yourself (with the help of others in your community who are always more than willing to help). TW is a tough crowd - welcome to the internet.

And yes, I looked at the detailed quote. Price of parts is fair. I can't tell you what cheaper parts you need. I CAN tell you that a stock truck can probably do what you want to do though (with some added protection from skids/sliders obviously). Contrary to popular belief, lifting your truck via suspension isn't going to change as much as you think its going to. Also, FWIW, you haven't even factored in other parts that may be needed for future problems you may encounter (extended brake lines, ECGS bushing, bump stops, etc.) Please just go read, and ask part specific questions along the way. Generalized questions (like yours) get generalized answers (like ours).

Hey thanks for that. I’ll do more research and try not to respond to trolls on this site. I keep forgetting that the general public are generally not knowledgeable regarding this topic and will post whatever just to push people’s buttons because they’re on their period , or just have an axe to grind because they’re not nice people to put it nicely. I’ve already received a fair direction to take from the few nice knowledgeable chaps here.
