All this joke about kids, well I just bought a pajama onesie for a friend who’s about to have a kid.

I blame the reverse psychology from this thread.

I dunno man...$23k on that is better than $40k+ on a new tacoma in my book - especially if it's built as well as it seems

I like when I have to drive across the dam. When you get to the Cecil County side you can usually see about a dozen eagles sitting in the trees.

Smoked a brisket today, just under 8lbs for about 10 hours. Pretty happy with how it turned out, all but the small smoke ring. More wood next time. Used pecan and hickory, very savory!20230618_161630.jpg 20230618_175224.jpg

If i had the 150-600mm I want, I'd visit the dam a lot :) That was taken with a 200mm and i wasn't quite ready, so the bird is a bit out of focus.

Ahhh right, I know exactly where this photo was taken. Quiet spots down that way. I sometimes put in at the ram just to the north of you, paddle the kayak out to those islands and camp, make a fire overnight.

Was at the little launch, just beside the campground and cemetery. That'd be incredible to stay the night out there. I hope i get to before I move on!

I get that, but you’re still buying a 20 y/o vehicle. Old seals, parts wearing out.

    I understand why many don’t want a 3rd/4th gen, but dropping >$20k on a 20 y/o truck isn’t really the solution.

    I'd rent one from DFMWR.

Fair point. If it were about 15k I think it'd be justifiable.

Yeah I’m with you. If it’s as well built as it seems, $15k is reasonable.

But he wants at least $20k.
