I don't doubt that was a good show! Kinda wanted to go to see the Adolescents and Decendents. Saw the Circle Jerks a couple of times in the 80's.

That's what I'm here for, the mods and the gear.
Wishing your father a speedy recovery on all fronts. Glad to hear the Indiana experience wasn't all bad. And hopefully your power is back on.

HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL YOU OUT THERE!

I was actually impressed with how well it went. But, to be fair, my expectations were very low. Also, I have +400# rear springs, and I was still sagging quite a bit. I checked to see if I was on the bump stops and had a few inches to go, though.

Also, the combined weight was approximately 5699#, based on the Honda's curb weight and the empty trailer weight. So, well over the advertised limit, in addition to being on 295/70/17's, with full armor, recovery gear, and 4 passengers. There was also cargo in the Honda. All in all, I have 0 complaints.

    Uhhh, don't you?

Having owned and towed with both, I'll say that the 4Runner tows better, IMO. The dual VVT-I 1GR is a better engine, and the 4Runner has a better rear suspension. With the stock springs, I probably would have been riding the bump stops the whole way, though.

I understand that a longer wheelbase should be better for some things, but I don't think the difference between the two is significant enough to compensate for the Taco's shitty leaf spring setup. :notsure:

Took a fathers day excursion into the Penokee's this morning scouting new routes for AppleFest weekend. Found a couple of fun possibilities. Bugs are bad. Really bad. Moskitos (as a child of the Cold War this is spelled correctly...) were FIERCE and they now have the help of a very recent black fly hatch... Made the possibility of getting stuck triple concerning. Only once was there fear in my heart, but the KM3's did their job (as well as some judicious right foot.) Need to begin negotiations with the FS and snowmobile folks for proper access to OUR public lands...

Happy Father's Day to the dads among us.

Since it's the closest thing I have to a child at the moment, treated the 80 to a spa day and coffee run.

Also, there may or may not be new armor inbound...

Fathers Day and I'm doing yard work. Now I just got the weber started. Making wings on the grill. Someone else should be doing the cooking.
    Thats Life.

Hope your dad is doing better.

Torrential storms here, sideways when lightning and rain flash flooding... Currently at my parents doing laundry but I can't wait to get home to another round of apartment flooding. Really hope my other trucks in a good spot because I wasn't expecting the rain to be this bad.....
