What is left shake and what gives you the right?
I'm pretty sure it's not a constitutional right

Steering wheel shake? If so, it's very likely a tire/wheel issue (improper balance, tire defect, bent wheel or hub).

One thing that's often overlooked is air pressure. The dealership loves to over inflate the tires. This can lead to excessive vibrations which you will notice in the steering wheel.

Somewhere on here I read that it's protocol for them to inflate them to 35 in the summer. However, that's not necessarily what your truck needs. I finally remembered to let my air out yesterday and what a difference that made. They were reading 39 and 40 psi after some driving when I got it back from the dealership yesterday. Considering my truck says they're supposed to be at 30 when cold, 40 is way too high. Currently I'm showing 34-35 after a bit of highway driving at 65°F ambient.

    Worth a look anyway.

Very good point. After I put on a new set of Toyo A/T III tires I found the ride to be fairly harsh with some vibration. They had the recommended 30 lbs, but when I asked about it on another thread one of the TW members pointed me to a great little online tire pressure calculator: Once I lowered the pressure to the calculator's recommended 27 to 28 lbs. (cold) things smoothed out a lot. After some highway driving they warm up to about 31 psi. Wear seems to be fine. They're still A/T tires, so I don't expect them to be as smooth as passenger rated tires, but the ride really improved and vibration went away.

Note that there's a difference between Metric, P Metric, LT Metric and such on the calculator so be sure to enter the correct type. Our Toyos are P Metric.
