Anyone having issues with super low sound rear speakers. Even when fading all the way to the rear with volume at 30, you can barely hear anything and the right side is slight louder than the left which isn't saying much. Didn't seem to have this problem a week ago when I got the truck.

Yup it's a common "issue". Dealer won't help.

I’m not trying to be a smart ass but, most stock Toyota stereos are junk. Just replacing the speakers with some decent ones will make a huge difference and even better if you get an aftermarket head unit.

hi, i have read different posts saying that just replacing the speakers wont make a difference as the problem is not the speakers but the HU and amp. There is not enough amps to generate the same amount of power to all speakers, so the majority is placed on the front. So i can either replace the HU and Amp or both. I may go with the HU, but i need to pay off my truck first. I just dont understand how my 2015 audio was fantastic, never had an issue, and then i upgrade to a 2023 and its total garbage.

I didn’t have the same particular problem as you, I replaced my whole system because it was junk. I have a 2014 SR5 and the speakers were pure shit so I replaced the speakers and added an amp then I later replaced the HU…Much happier now. Good luck with your situation!

    Welcome to the forum :hattip:

While it doesn't address your problem, adding the Subaru/Kicker tweeters is an easy low cost improvement.

For around $100 the system will sound quite a bit more lively. I felt it raised it from dreadful to OK.
