Yep, pretty much my experience back then too. I think it looks terrific, but I'll probably go with 20% to 25% up front. Never look out the back side windows, so I'll probably add some there. Thanks for that!

Sweet looking ride! Had ours cleaned and detailed the other day too. I know it won't last, but it's great to see her shine!

I've had various collector cars that generated lots of positive comments, even folks that wanted to take pictures of them. But I've never had a "standard" ride that drew looks, thumbs ups and nice comments from randos like our Taco. Kinda nice! :D

None to speak of, just enjoying it for the moment.
Got her shining again! I'm using Turtle Wax Hybrid Solutions To the Max Graphene Wax, and their Graphene Flex wax after washes. Really stepped up their game with these products. Use Chemical Guys VRP on the tonneau cover

Are these the Cali Raised Trail Edition Rock sliders w Kick out? I just ordered a set and have been trying to find photos of the kick out and if it will be past my rear wheel. Your sliders don't appear to stick out that far.

In my state 35% is the darkest allowed on the driver and passenger windows so that’s what I did. I believe the factory tint on the back side windows is a shade darker, at least looks that way to me. Not sure about the back window. I also did the brow on the front windshield as low as allowed (4”-5” ?). Not sure about night vision as I just had it done this morning.

FWIW, I went with XPEL ceramic 20% front and 35% over the rear and back window. I wanted something a tad darker than 35% up front and not completely blacked out in the rear. It's perfect for AZ. :bananadead: I probably could have gone one level darker. If I lived somewhere else say like PNW or drove a lot of back country roads at night I'd probably go a tad lighter.

Thanks for the kind words. I've done the grill (Trail Edition) LED lights all around inside and out, de-badged (except for the bed decals and those are going to turn black pretty soon) various non-essential updates and what-not. Looking at some black and bronze wheels to match the grill. In the middle of putting Clazzio seats in it. Otherwise I'm probably not going to do a whole lot more. Thinking that a 1.5" lift would look great, kind of like yours, but I'm concerned about the ride. Wife doesn't mind its "truck ride", but anything more would probably be frowned upon. Came from a 2nd Gen Tundra LTD. Was like riding on a Barcalounger. The Taco's not quite as smooth, but it's not bad. Just don't want to push it. ;)

I went with the 20% Xpel ceramic on the fronts too and am happy with them. The rears are at 5% but I didn't want to go that dark in front. Driving at night is fine for me, although to be honest, I really don't drive the Tacoma too often at night.

    My thinking exactly.

That's what I was guessing. You can still see through the windows in your photos. Looks just about right. When we lived in AZ the cops never paid attention... could hardly see them in their own cruisers. :tumbleweed:

The guys with blacked out windows always made me suspicious... what's going on in there exactly?

Lift looks good, great stance. I'm still running stock-size Toyo A/T IIIs, so no need for much more than something that looks good.

Some friends installed Katzkins in their various cars and trucks. (They have a before/after of a Tacoma on their site's home page). They look great and you can customize to your heart's content. But they're actual replacements - remove the existing covers, take everything down to the foam and start new. Price-wise I guess that's not terrible. They have their own installers. I would never tackle something like that. Clazzios look very good too, but they are just covers. To the untrained eye they look original so for a half (third?) of the price, that's good enough for me. ;)

Took it back and they showed me another leak next to the plug. It’ll be covered 100% with my road haz warranty.

But when I got home and was looking at previous pic with the object. I noticed something that didn’t matched.

    Pic with the “screw”…
    IMG_2953.jpg

    Pic with plug/patch…
    IMG_2997.jpg

Notice where the actual hole (where the screw was) compared to where it was plugged???
    IMG_2996.jpg
The leak that @Discount Tire showed me is coming from the previous hole where the screw used to be!

Well, it’s their screw up. Just inconvenienced for me.
