I’m currently looking at a 2007 Taco TRD Sport 4.0 4x4 Double Cab 135,000 miles. It’s in very good shape no rust or paint imperfections, it had a new frame installed due to the recall so no rust on the frame. Interior is in perfect condition no tears or anything. The asking price is $14,500 which seems like a lot to me (private party not a dealer). Is this truck worth that? What problems might I see in this year and mileage? Any input will be appreciated thanks.

    $11,500-$12,000 sounds better to me.
That said, I have the same truck in an access cab with Off-road package. Almost 170k
I value mine at $9k-9.5k But I wouldn’t sell it for that.
I know what I got, I know it doesn’t have any problems.
And I can’t replace it for less than $10k.

    Welcome to the Forum!!

Only you can know if it is worth that price. If that price is to high move on.

Where will the truck be living? Even though the frame was replaced under the extended warranty .

It still needs constant attention if you plan to see winter chemicals.

    Regional market prices can vary.

A close up inspection and road test to make sure everything works.

There will always be neglected areas of maintenance to be caught up.

If you can do the work yourself paying labor it adds up fast.

I am a drive train person interior means nothing or the body . To me tires , brakes , suspension engine and gear boxes are the important areas to me.

    Good luck

I'd still look at the frame. '07, depending on when the frame was replaced it doesn't take long for rust to take hold on an unprotected frame.

I have the same truck bought new in 2007. But mine has 237,000 miles on it. It has peeling paint in spots, a small dent in the tailgate, and the interior has stained seats and carpet. But mechanically it is sound, I'd drive it cross country tomorrow. I wouldn't have any trouble selling it locally for $9000.

With 100,000 fewer miles and in the condition you describe $14,000 probably isn't far off. At least not here. And frame rust isn't an issue in GA.
