Vagabond is impossible to get a hold of.

I'm purchasing a Vagabond Drifter from another forum member. I have a 2nd gen, he has a 3rd. Anyone know what else I will need for the transfer?

I've ordered the KBVOODOO bed cap/tailgate kit and bed stiffeners. I imagine I will need a new tailgate kit for the rear hatch as well.

Any help would be greatly appreciated! TIA.

    Will it fit correctly?
The 3rd Gen bed is longer
And may be deeper, but I’m no 100% positive there.

You may need to trim the GPS antenna on the back of the cab and you will need a new seal at the hatch/tailgate.

I have a V1 GFC that fits both the 2nd and 3rd Gen Tacoma (even spent a bit of time on a Bison). The rear hatch seal needed to be replaced to fit the 2nd Gen but other than that no mods were needed.

I figured I would need a new rear hatch seal. Thanks for the reply!

I chopped the Sharkfin antenna on my 2012. Probably would have been okay leaving it but the clearance would have been minimal.

Thank you for sharing. I am aware of a possible clearance issue and have ordered a 3D printed part that a forum member is hopefully still selling. It is a flat piece that replaces the shark fin.

The replacement shark fin works great
I had the factory fin on my 2nd gen with kbvoodoo rails when i had my drifter installed and it was tight, any good bounce would tap the shark fin
You’ll just need a new seal and the tailgate hatch. Rest should be good to go

@rob1208 Is the tailgate hatch something I can pick up without having to involve Vagabond? Thanks.

Sorry, should have clarified, its basically weather stripping to seal the bottom of the hatch against your tailgate. You can use any sort of weather stripping to make it work.

The 3rd gen bed is an inch taller so you might need a new hatch. Good luck and congrats vegabonds are very nice too bad the dude is going the way of pelfry
